We are a neighborhood group training gym franchise that delivers personal training services to its members in an intimate group setting. We charge a reasonable monthly membership fee as opposed to expensive hourly rates. We offer a minimum of 35 scheduled group training sessions each week, and our members may workout at any of our locations 24/7.
What is Group Training?
Simply stated, group training is a workout performed in a group setting. At GymMatrix group training involves all of the necessary phases that constitute a complete workout. These phases include: proper warm-up, flexibility (stretching), weight training, cardiovascular exercise and core training (abs and balance/stability work). GymMatrix members workout in groups and are coached through the session by a certified personal trainer.
Group Training has been practiced in professional settings for many years. Professional athletes often workout in this manner coached by a trainer in their off-season programs. However, no group-training program for the general public has ever been offered on a large scale. GymMatrix is the first franchise concept to create a complete program for members based on true Group Personal Training for fitness. GymMatrix provides this training in a small, intimate group format. Each franchise location offers a minimum of 35 convenient sessions per week.
At GymMatrix, we believe that the best fitness results can be achieved with a combination of traditional weight room training and floor exercise that includes plyometric and isometric resistance workouts. Each of our sessions begin with a proper warm-up that leads into flexibility exercise. Each of the sessions end with core training. We incorporate cardiovascular training as a part of the isometric and plyometric training, or as a 20 minute segment of the traditional weight room workout.
The 3 sessions offered at every GymMatrix location are GMX-U which is our upper body session, GMX-L which is our lower body session and GMX-T which is our high intensity Total Body session.
