Batman animated series in the 90s is definitive Batman it hit all the points of making Batman Batman. Detective, driven, purposeful, the Bat theme was a tactic, it was toned down by the censors but it quintessential Batman
Number 1 batman was created by both bob manners and bill finger!
Bob Kane sorry
talks about All Star Batman but shows Dick Grayson as Batman
Way to go WM… -_-
Putting someone in a situation where the only possibility is death (aside from interference from an outside force) is the same thing as killing them.
Pretty dishonest appraisal of his no-killing and no-gun rules. The only examples shown beyond the golden age version were when he very ineptly used a gun in millers tdrk to trigger an explosion and the exception he made for Darkseid… also, in terms of killing in the films, it's not a fair assessment to use Burton as an example, as the guy refused to even look at a comic book when making his abominations.
Bales Batman doesn't kill in the only two movies I consider, BB and TDK. You can't be sure if anyone other than fake Ras died, nor was he Batman at that point in his story arc. Similar to how he meant to shoot Joe Chill and ended up tossing the gun, the events at the League of Shadows palace probably informed his character moving forward.
no his supper power is white privilege
I find the whole trademark no kill rule to be a bit unrealistic. I mean yea you don't want to be no better than the bad guys however, there some villians that a threat to the public and should be permanently eliminated so, they can never cause the death of many innocent people again. Therefore, fuck the insane asylum; get the gas chamber ready for this murderous scum.
The second is just shit
A lot of this is a stretch – with the exception of Bill Finger. Bill Finger rightfully got the justice and credit he deserved in the end.
Most Batman fans can agree that the definitive Batman is represented in Batman: The Animated Series. Kevin Conroy's voice and the balance between vigilante, scientist, detective, and fighter (as well as demeanor) are in that incarnation.
While it can be argued that being rich is one of Batman's facets – he is not defined by this. Don't believe me? Watch the Watchmen. Half of what Rorscharch is, is what Batman is. If Bruce way did not have money, he still would have become Batman one way or another. He just would have found a different way to finance his vigilante-ism.
The using guns myth while untrue when Bob Kane started the character has been a hard cut rule throughout the comics. Showing both the Batman: Dark Knight Returns by Miller and Batman: Year 2 – both are not canon. Batman does not like using guns. It does not mean he doesn't know how to use them. Both Batman and Nightwing are crackshots.
Batman does not kill. Deaths happen. He has never intentionally gone out to kill anyone, he has, on the otherhand, created conditions where a villain would die – the KGBeast is a prime example. He's quite strict about that.
While no one has cast the definitive Batman – because much of what we know about the character changes every decade or so – the Animated series has the closest version. Affleck's version has shown the best promise in years… but even that is a shadow based on Miller's Dark Knight Returns.
All in all, this video really wasn't good analysis.
The biggest myth is that he is a Super hero. And yes wealth is his only power. The only reason he is still alive is because criminals are too stupid and never shoot him in the face.
Didn't like that Adam West stuff when I saw the reruns on tv horrible.
Myth 1 . Commissioner Gordon couldn't find out Batman's identity . He has no reason to try !

Batman only kills henchmen but never his rogues gallary
2:00 Sherlock will challenge,
Mycroft would definitely disagree.
I think I vastly prefer [The] Batman not killing. I think it gives the impression of him not wanting any more bloodshed, not wanting families to lose loved ones like he did. Plus, I think it's infinitely more badass to incapacitate someone while making sure they don't die.
