Fill a super soaker with gasoline, tape a lighter at the end, and you get a flamethrower.

To answer Your question: Depends on the complexity of the weapon and the quality of the material, or parts used.

Kind of making it out to be that anyone who makes their own firearm is a bad guy.
There is such a thing as people who are gun enthusiasts who have no malicious intent, no desire to hurt, and obey every law. Obviously it sucks that criminals get the shit they do but the fact of the matter is the amount of laws being imposed are not actually fixing it.
The thing is the government is gradually over stepping their bounds and trying to impose as many laws as possible. This is why 80% lowers are a thing. every law abiding gun owner knows that an 80% lower you machined shall never be sold or transferred to another person. it is yours and yours only for your whole life and all gun owners i know follow these laws because they are not criminals. However criminals… well you ask them to follow any law.. they arent going to follow it. So when youre making it out to be like its this horrible thing that anyone can do is build a firearm.. its hinting that you believe more laws should be imposed. which will not sort it out.

I don't understand how someone making their own guns is a problem. Especially when you consider that every gun law on the books, whether federal, state, or local is an infringement on our basic Constitutional rights. How would you like it if you had to get a permit to believe in god? Pass a background check before you could attend church and only listen to sermons that had passed a government approval process.
Fact number one you can't make a gun from a 3D printer the receiver would melt apart the barrel wouldn't last two shots

There is nothing wrong with creating, using, selling and owning homemade weapons. The federal government has no right to regulate them.
Also, firearm registration has no affect on helping to stop violent crime whatsoever.
