For this list, we’re taking a look at movies that Hollywood should never try to reboot or remake because they’re that good to begin with. However, we’re excluding animated films like Toy Story and franchises that have inspired spinoffs or expanded universes like Star Wars.

I can not believe Jaws was not at least an honorable mention.
They're trying to remake Scarface. I really hope it doesn't happen.
Harvey – the perfect film.
There is one proble., Directors are the first ones to disrespect the classics, look at Star Wars !
The irony is that, many of these movies actually could never be made again today because their aren't really relevant anymore. Like Citizen Cane, we live that every day, and there isn't a day in which a movie of the horrors of technology and information can be used against us doesn't come out. The Gone with the Wind? Who cares to see a movie about a spoiled, rich brat during the Civil War? Now we have realistic showings of the soldiers, the slaves, the leadership. Casablanca? Those types of Romantic Dramas aren't even filmed anymore. As for 2001 and Back to the Future, Back to the Future was just basic and fun, hard to beet that. 2001 COULD be redone, but you would have to change how you approach it to the point were it wouldn't look the same for it to work anyway. So no worries there.
why no sound of the music?
I think Paul Newmans "cool hand luke" should have been there.
"Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" shouldn't have been made, despite the genius of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp. There was nothing wrong with "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".
Really, Gene Wilders Willy Wonka may even been creepier than Johnny Depp's
Home Alone
Forrest Gump
Another movie that shouldn't be remade is a classic by Bruce Lee Enter the best Dragon
Disney's The Black Hole
et overrated
I suppose that 1959´s Ben-hur should also never have been touched ( even despite, well let´s say, some "little" differences from the Lew Wallace best-seller ), 11 reasons it´s enough, but …
There is no excuse for Jurassic Park not making the list.
I would add Forrest Gump to the list.
10 Commandments? Are you serious? Not even in the list? A gangster film? Are you kidding us?
So, if Michael J. Fox is forever Marty McFly, and Christopher Lloyd is forever Doc Brown, who is forever Jennifer?
The Ghostbusters was touched. Not only touched but molested.
do they think Jaws could be remade? I don't
Well I understand, some people want to make remakes of the originals because they want to modernize them but at the same time is not because they may not make a success or anything like that, rather it is the fear of ruining something good and because we become so attached to the movies that we once watched even if the remake is actually good, in our eyes they will fail. You can disagree with me all you want but ask yourself this, "will I feel the same if I had first watch the remake and then the original, or will I prefer the remake over the original because that's the one I saw first and that's what's in my mind?"
I love, or actually hate, now how studios call a re-make a re-boot. None are ever very successful. except for foreign films they re-do for the American audience, i.e., The Seven Samurai becoming The Magnificent Seven. Now they're doing it with the newest version of The Mummy. Hollywood just can't off the cheaper way to re-do someone else's work rather than have a creative speck of originality.
JAWS
Sound of Music?
Every movie on this list holds a credible spot, but ET. Movie is absolute shit.
