Q who introduced the borg, but other then that wasn't that amazing of an episode. Number 2 seems a little high. Chain of command was criminally low on this list. Swap those and I might agree more. Also I think the inner light should have been a bit higher.
Zinda! His face black, his eyes red!
The Hunted, where Roga Danar, a genetically modified soldier, breaks out of the Enterprise brig and runs amok on the ship.
Inner Light??? PFFFT "Who Watches the Watchers" Is what Star Trek is really about. Not this soap opera crap.
sorry but farpoint shouldnt be on this list…. Darmok, ship in a bottle, lessons, drumhead, I Borg, Deja Q, Relics, just some of the few you missed
Relics
Hmm, I think a Picard fan wrote this list. How about Sins of the Father, Disaster, Darmok, I, Borg or The Offspring?
Redemption for sure and /agree Darmok….
How was Gambit, Unification, and Sins of the Father left off the list? A great single part episode is The Pegasus.
But the greatest Picard line from Allegiance…”now get off my ship!”
INNER LIGHT SUCKED!!!
How about the episode when Tasha gets "down" with my boy Data!
Star Trek TNG 4ever!!!
I don't remember the episode title, but how about the one where Data (against protocol) answers a mysterious child's transmission which asked if there was anyone out there who could hear them. Data says 'Yes' instead of maintaining silence…
Apparently watchmojo doesn't realize that most of season 1 and 2 wasn't the series most shining timeframe.
I swear I'm getting shivers watching this
I'm sorry, am I missing something? How is All good things #1?! O
You have Inner Light 4 spots too low…
Oh come on. Not even a nod to face of the enemy??
Season one was unimpressive. Two was good.
Data is second officer, not "third officer"
I thoroughly agree with the number 1 pick. That episode got me hooked on this show. But don't you think they should have put "SINS OF THE FATHER " on this list?
Inner light, which is on the list and skin of evil which isn't Skin changed the tone of Star Trek, a major character killed off. .No one was every completely safe after that.
Darmok deserved a spot. Also Q who and measure of a man should switch places. both are great episodes, but MoaM was better. BobW is a solid but safe choice for #1. Also encounter at farpoint wasnt the best pilot, and certainly not top 10 material.
I'm glad The Defector, my personal favourite, is at least an HM.
Never saw Worf in command of the Enterprise.
I think "The Drumhead" needed to be here. Though to be honest, had this list been done now, it would have more than likely been on this list, possibly in a podium position.
Perhaps an "another top ten" might be in order? This holds true especially for other very good episodes cited here, especially "Darmok", which has been used as an example in real-world education, especially for language studies.
At about 7 minutes she calls Picard "Johnny" and I don't think I've ever been more offended.
Always be the Best of both worlds
AFAIK, Data was always the second officer.
No I do not agree with your list. Relics shoulda been on this list. Also, Face of the Enemy.
where oh where are Lower Decks and The Offspring? Not even an honourable mention???
I watched seasons 4 – 7 since my daughter was 2 years old. 1 – 2 episodes a day. After we seen every season. We stopped. After a few months me and fiance have been missing our Star Trek TNG fix.We started watching again and my 2 year old daughter gets super hyped when we put it on on Netflix!
My favorite episode is tapestry. Never look back
"Shaka when the Walls fell!" No "Darmok".
Every episode has something to sell. I think the top ten could be based on the most viewed over time. Though there's no real way to know what a top ten is since it can be different for everyone.
"Skin of Evil" gets me every time.
"Disaster" did not deserve to be honourably mentioned. Every episode of TNG that had children actors was cringe-worthy.

7. Yesterday’s Enterprise
6. Unification
