Good lord, this is what happens when an out of touch channel is forced to make a video on a topic because it is trending. Demanding so much change of the series is what side games are for. If you deviate too much from the "formula," it no longer becomes Pokemon. You also completely ignore Pokemon Black and White's story that addresses the topic of Pokemon ethics in the same point you make that comment.
That's not to say that some of your points aren't valid, but please quit pandering to things you see at the top of forums and actually get a better feel for the games and community before making videos criticizing them.
I WANNA BE A COORDINATOR!!!!!
10: Pokemon Go lets you choose your skin color, hair color, eyes and clothing all independently. Add hairstyle and eye-wear and it's perfect.
9: I like that, as well as the idea for the Pokerap at the end of the credits.
8: This game could have terrain similar to BOTW, which would be great for the Switch, plus multiplayer battles on one console (like Pokemon Stadium).
7: This could be a similar story to the Captain Toad levels in 3D World, in which after appearing in the game, they get their own full spin-off, in this case Pokemon Snap 2.
6: Step 1: Get voice actors for the characters and the protagonist, and have said protagonist be control by Tell-tale like choices Step 2: Get the directors of Pokemon Origins to write the story.
5: Well the last region was in Hawaii, and unless this is in California or the Pacific Islands (I myself want it in Australia) It probably won't happen. Maybe next time.
4: Sure, but I'll never use it.
3: Wow, you guys gave great ideas. In fact, Platinum Games should co-develop the game.
2: I know Game Freak wants to make sure new players aren't having a hard time, so here's my idea. They should take the game, and divide it into 3 modes. Beginner mode, which has the tutorial, Veteran mode, which doesn't and is harder, and Nuzlocke, which is Nuzlocke.
Honorable Mention #1: Eh, I like their growls more.
Honorable Mention#2: X and Y kinda did this.
1: This will go great with my idea for #8.
Rule number four is a good rule but instead of giving exclusive pokemon wouldnt it be better to give them a shiny starter as well as increase the chances of encountering a shiny
Ehh, this is why I would honestly prefer a Battle Revolution sequel.
well I know 1 thing they have forgotten to mention more moves instead of just 4, I have talked to a few folks about that and we all agree on that.
But BOTW dont feel like a Zelda game for me so that can happend to pokemon too :/
no it doesn't need to have a pokemon snap 'feature'. i would much rather have an actual NEW pokemon snap game instead thanks. instead of crushing it into an already content filled main series game and therefore degrading BOTH a bit. a new pokemon snap would do well on its own i'm sure. asking to smush it into a main series game is really pushing for too much.
I kind of miss pokemon amie games (mainly because I actually am really good at them!)
As a pokemon fan since 1998, and a rts fan since 2001 (i discovered age of empires 2 on my ps2…yes ps2, and still loved it), i would love a combination of the 2. a good one. althought i liked pokemon conquest, the battle where too much of a fire emblem style, and i would like a more total war aproach. pokemon and people in medieval times, where you could catch a pokemon to use in battle, or a herd for another thing:
– your characther could find and catch a treecko and battle along side with it;
– your characther could find and catch a herd of rhyhorns and unlock the production of rhyhorn cavalry in that region;
– your characther could find and catch a herd of skarmory's and unlock better mellee weapons for human units (one of the pokedex's talked about their feather being used to make swords);
but hey, nintendo is never going to totally leave their confort zone. "ohhhh but open world is out of their confort zone"… is it? the basics are on super mario 64 and every zelda game. they just changed a bit. to go full rts would be another story that they never trully tried, besides pokemon conquest, to my knowledge.
Pokemon that follow the player. (they already have all the 3D models and the walking and running (flying) antimations for all 802 pokemon the DS just wasnt powerful enough Even if they have to scale some of the pokemon down. (most pokemon arent even that large to start with even legionaries are shorter then most people think.
No more HMs pokemon sun and moon already did away with HMs dont bring em back.
Better post game content and battle facilities
More things to do other then battling sun and moon completely failed in that regard.
No more bullshit locked content for version specific games I get legendary pokemon but really making clothing and dyes version specific is just pointless.
More things to do online maybe online features where players can design their own clothing all the way up to new short story mission.
Pokemon saying their names is stupid and frankly im fine with the more linear progression of the game itself.
Active battling mode and turn based battling mode. Active if you want to play the game like a action JPRG or turn based for a classic JRPG feel.
More regions and stories in those regions. This is the switch two or more regions is absolutely possible.
MULTIPLE FUCKING SAVE FILES. People arent likely to have multiple switches laying around so if your someone with siblings or roommates who also wanna play the game multiple save files would be just grand.
In game events tied to event pokemon. Getting given a supposedly legendary pokemon by the fedex guy delivering it to you like you just ordered it off amazon is just lazy. Remember the trials to catch the regis? remember sailing to an island to fight darkrai. bring us back in game missions to catch these pokemon and not just a fucking worm hole that they drop out of like a fucking vending machine.
Stop shiny locking pokemon. Its lame no one likes it and its cool to shiny hunt for legendaries even if most people will never see them. Everyone has the box art legendary its not really all that unique seens its basically scripted and no one is gunna fail them unless they dont save prior and even then newer games give you multiple chances so why not allow players who want to take all the time to shiny hunt let them do it. not hurting anyone and in fact makes people play even longer then they do normally. You gave us the shiny charm and thats great but making it so you cant catch shiny pokemon no matter how hard you try just so you can save them as event pokemon is just lame. Shiny event pokemon just doesnt give you the same feeling as soft reseting a shit ton of times to get the shiny you want.
Make your rival and actual challenge. make them good. hell make them better than you at the start. Have them crush you in the beginning. They are suppose to be a challenge not a minor annoyance. and make them stop being so damn nice. Its annoying. Not everyone is going to be your friend and a rival should be the thing you strive to beat and then shove it in their smug face. They dont have to be basically evil like silver was just have him be cocky or a jerk, someone who you want to actually beat instead of treating them like a speed bump. Stop having your rival purposely pick the weaker starter pokemon then yours.
I'm a pokemon veteran, started with yellow, jumped back to blue and atleast one (if not both) of every "version" since. Stadium, colloseum, snap, hey you, go, card game and multiple spin offs ext. I agree with everything you brought up, my only hesitation on the open world is it still needs structure as well. Simply put, due to the leveling system, someone who puts 6 hrs into the game simply could not defeat let's say Whitney (g,s) or Valerie (x,y). Somthing as big as BOTW would be awsome in theory, it's just a HUGE switch (pardon the pun).
i want it to save on the game card
i wish their was a Pokemon game you start out pick to be a Pokemon trainer or coordination like ash and may how ash a trainer and may a coordination you start ask a coordinate it you don't what to be a trainer
dark sous have to be on the switch
Genwunner traitor. You deserve these dislikes.
Ash was actually a clone of Red the games always came before the Anime do some research mojo
So basicly they are saying they want a pokemon game that's not like a pokemon game at all hmmm
You Ass fucker think thats gonna be that easy to just throw all that shit in?
Don’t any people know that having Pokémon walking behind you would be stupid in a 3D model form, it wouldn’t look good and would seem dumb having 20 foot sea serpent garydos following you in a poke mart, and I like gyms more than island trials
they need to ditch the tired 2-game system and just have one game called pokemon switch or whatever. you would be able to make an in-game decision early on (such as joining a faction) to have exclusive pokemon from your friend, accomplishing the same effect
A couple things you didn't include.
Let there be more than six Pokemon in your main team. Like around eight or twelve. It would make for longer battles and potential new battle modes like Quadruple Battles. And use the Switch's capabilities to massively increase the number of Pokemon you can store in the Pokemon Storage system. Heck, include additional boxes as DLC for a change.
So pokemon walking with us needs to come back, I also want the picture spots with your team to come back, and I don't want to see an open world pokemon game.
Open world games are to over used. They become boring and empty quick this happens in Loz, shadow of war, and even GTA.
We need a better and more gripping story, and tackle the cockfighting issue.
Well, he's never play Sun and Moon. Or Black and White. Or BW2
Number seven can be a Pokedex ,we want a personal experience, choose what region that you want to be born in ,n start from there meet our local professor n get our starter Pokemon.
I agree with some of these things but a lot were unnecessary.
A console pokemon game should indeed be built from the ground up for the switch.
Fully customizable characters, open world with loading between regions. Players should also be able to choose the region they start in and also be able to choose one of any of the starters.
Player occupied. The only npc's should be professors, aides, nurses, clerks, police, villains and grunts, operators. This allows the world to feel alive with players.
Events. gyms, unchosen starters, and rare or legendary, character accessories, and rare items, like stones, should be offered during special timed events with enhanced difficulty.
Real time battles. Instead of turn based strategy, it should be real time with cooldown timers on moves. This will make battles feel more alive and real while also being more challenging.
Owned pokemon should be customizable with a skill tree catering to their ability to survive in battle. Example: with experience points earned in battle, players should be able to cash them in at the skill tree of a pokemon to increase survivability options such as; evade, speed, defense, strength. This skill tree should also offer learnable moves for experience points. This means moves come with the cost of experience points instead of a level cap. Meaning if Squirtle wants to learn bubble beam, players need to earn experience points in battle and cash them in at Squirtle's skill tree for the move for however many points it may cost. This inturn does away with the pokemon leveling system for a more unrestricted or limiting approach. This also means pokemon battles wont be predictable when facing an opponent.
Players should gain levels through experience. The level of the players should allow more access to events and restricted areas like certain battle resorts or clubs. The level of the player should also affect who they can battle. Example: a level 12 player won't last against a level 21. This means the level of the player affects the damage and defense of their pokemon. Players should gain experience from battles but the experience earned is severely decreased if the player experiences the same thing over and over. Meaning if a player battles a wild ekans, they get the max amount of points for that first encounter. But if they battle another wild ekans then the earned experience is the lowest. This will give the game longevity and players won't be leveling up too fast. The amount of experience should depend of the situation; events give crazy experience, player and team battles, give decent amounts, tasks/missions give decent experience amounts.
Purposes. Players should be free to explore the pokemon world freely being offered consistent tasks to keep occupied. These tasks should give incentives such as in game credits, items, accessories, and experience points and be viewed and selectable on the pokedex. Big Events such as; uncharted(caves) and restricted areas, gyms, villain battles, rare and legendary pokemon sightings should be offered in this same fashion. This means special items need to be obtained for certain events. Example: silph scope needs to be obtained from rocket underground if players want to participate in the pokemon tower event in Kanto region. The event will reward players with a lot of experience, the chance to obtain a special marowwak(possibly an alolan one or one with augmented moves) if they don't make it faint lol, and the opportunity to catch specific ghost pokemon… If players miss the event they will have to wait for it to be announced again or get certain rewards from another player. The rewards should be obtainable once while the event is active and uncompleted.
Players should be able to choose travel options. The choice of bikes, skates, boards, straddles should be offered from stores for real world currency or micro transactions and sometimes offered in events. Players shouldn't be restricted to only flying on charizard or some random black bird. We should be able to choose flyable pokemon we own. Same with surfing. The ships or boats, however should take players between regions as normal.
Personal Hudson or junction for players. Instead of the pc feature, I think players should have their own customizable fort or space where they can store extra items and pokemon.
With all that, I think the game should cost 20 bucks and many things should be bought in game. Such as backpack or purse type and storage size should cost real world currency/micro transactions or players can stick with the standard which has the default capacity. Same with player huds/ junctions and the capacity of space for pokemon and extra items. Real world currency should also get players limited time experience boosters, credit boosters, pokemon encounter boosters to increase the chances of uncommon pokemon showing up in the wild instead of the same annoying pokemon repeatedly popping up. Real world currency should also get players customizable gear that's not offered in game or during events.
Gangs, clans, syndicate. Players should be able to form guild like groups with other players. Earning experience in a group allows items to be sold in the group store for less credits that the ingame store.
Trading should also be allowed as long as communication is established between two players. Players should also be able to sell their things for credits.
A day and night cycle should be implemented scaling with the real world time or ingame regional time.
RED IS NOT AN ASH KETCUM CLONE!! It’s the opposite! Ffs…
Lol every new pokemon have all the pokemon during thay time. You jusy need to trade because we need to focus on new pokemon not nostalgia
