Wasn't born in the 80's but I love all of these movies !
Keaton Batman?
I absolutely hate the Karate Kid and the Goonies. Never could stand them.
B2F and Goonies remain two of my all-time favorite movies. It's must-view-tv for me whenever it pops on my screen.
Also, that scene where Chunk recounts his vomit story to the Fratellies is cinema gold. Jeff Cohen, who played Chunk, killed that scene. In fact, he was the scene-stealer of the whole movie.
Stand By Me and The Lost Boys should've made the list, IMO.
I have seen all of these movies and I was born in 2004. And I love them all!!!
80s Kids [70s Born] 90s Kids [80s Born] 2000s Kids [90s Born] and I'm looking forward to the 2000s kids edition of iconic movies since I'm born in 1997 🙂
Why isn't Jim Henson's The Labyrinth not on here? It's amazing & quite underrated.
Pretty heavy
What about Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
Among my other favorites are:
The Flight of the Navigator
The Explorers
The Neverending Story
D.A.R.Y.L.
War Games (matthew broderick)
Top Gun
Dead Poet's Society
Predator
The Abyss
Trading Places
Short Circuit
Inner Space
Spaceballs
Batteries not included
Cannoball Run
St. Elmo's Fire
Deal of the century
Date with an Angel
Taps
Coming to America
WHAT no Transformers The Movie from 1986
I'm fine with back to the future is number one but stand by me being just an honorable mention is horse shit
80s kids had way more fun. Today everyone is possessed by smart phones tweeting and checking Facebook.
Where the fuck is the Muppets!!!!!
BACK TO THE FUTRUE RULES!
Yes it's true
This man has no dick.
i lived through all of the 80s but i was worried that there would be entries on here that i hadnt seen. nope. seen them all. surprised that neverending story was glimpsed during the intro but was never mentioned after that. i was expecting it to be up high on the list.
Wow, no mention of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
I was so happy to see Back to the future as number 1
Back to the future should be 2, Empire 1. List was good other than that large glaring flaw.
More like watchmojomember, amirite?
Oh please. The Gooniesis number one hands down.
I remember going to see Cloak and Dagger a bunch of times. It is a great film and I do understand it was not as big as these movies but had to throw it out there. I also loved Lady in White but had a dark tinge to it.
if there's something strange in your neighborhood who do you call? Ghostbusters!
Neverending Story
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
Sixteen Candles
St. Elmo's Fire
Stand by me
The Last Starfighter
Warriors
80's kid here. I haven't seen all the movies on this list, but the ones I have seen are indeed iconic. And the first thing I thought of for #1 was indeed BttF. I'd say it's an accurate list, lol
i am a 90s kid and i love all of these movies
Wierd science (1985) isn't on the list?! Hmm.. maybe cos it's more young adult than a kids movie perhaps?
Back to the Future is seriously the best movie in cinematic history.
8:00 thanks for using the original footage 😉
no mention of dirty dancing? wtf
Back when Mark Hamill was the good guy and NO ONE believed he would start playing bad guys. Boy were we wrong, he's nearly like Tim Curry now with his villain roles in animation and video games and rarely plays good guys anymore!
Great list, but Richard Donner's Superman had to ne at least in the honorable mentions.
The Outsiders was missed? Breakfast club and Ferris Bueller should have been higher on the list
Great picks!! Love back to the future 🙂
The goonies was my favorite guilty pleasure movie right next to back to future and some other movie
I can't believe Top Gun was missing from this.. That would be toward the Top of the list, right behind back to the future series.

They left out Footloose (1984)
