Rip off "Subway song" The Cure
I never actually liked seven nation army. always sounded like ass to me
No Arctic Monkeys? Ok…
how tf was reptilia was just an honorable mention
You can call me anything
but i think Famous Last Words by My Chemical Romance has a great riffs
I’ve been looking for the song no one knows for hours now, just by going off the guitar riff. Glad it was in the opening. I was going to go crazy.
Hysteria or Plug In baby
psychosocial only honorable mention seriously?
cky – 96 quite bitter beings… Best riff ever made
lol american idiot?
in the can't stop I can only hear flea…. sorry but the bass is much better
if there is no blood and thunder i will unsub. starting to watch now
How The Strokes and Metallica didn't make it in over Franz Ferdinand and The Killers is a bit disrespectful
And… What about Living Sacrifice's Overkill Exposure?
Where is E-Pro by Beck?
Metallica and Tool could’ve taken all 10 spots let’s be honest
This list from the 2000s is sad compaired to guitar riff charts of the 80s and 90s These songs suck.
Let's be honest. Who else knew Seven Nation Army would top the list.
Green Day: Holiday?
reptilia sweetie im so sorry
reptilia sweetie i'm sorry i'm so sorry that a ugly ass bitch like this would even say that oh my god
Linkin Park "One Step Closer"
I've just started this video and I'm positive there's no Shinedown on here and it's infuriating
These comments in a nutshell:
-"Where's American Idiot?" (Doesn't even have a riff.)
-"Reptilia is only an honorable mention?" (I like the Strokes, but I hate Reptilia. :))
-"135 BPM isn't fast!" (Won't disagree there.)
-"Avenged Sevenfold sucks!" (Not everyone's cup of tea, I guess.)
-"I like how they didn't include *Insert generic death metal band name*'s riff." (Death is the only good Death Metal band IMO.)
-"Seven Nation Army is so overrated!" (Catchy and memorable, but so overplayed it's annoying now.)
BTW, thanks for including Coheed on this list. 🙂
I know before starting the video Seven Nation Army is no.1
Plug in baby and Seven Nation Army above Dark Eternal Night….
This is total madness….
when you hear dat beast and the harlot riff and make that face: 1:50
The opening to Welcome Home isn't in chords…
Most of these riffs are boring and simplistic.
I wish MCR was on the list
You missed two obvious choices:
One Step Closer by Linkin Park
American Idiot by Green Day
10- Fat Lip by Sum 41
9- Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold (I'm not a fan of them but I have to admit that is an excelent riff)
8- Smooth Criminal by Alin Ant Farm
7- Are You Gonna Be My Girl by Jet
6- No One Knows by Queens Of The Stone Age
5- Reptilia by The Strokes
4- Snow (Hey Oh) by Red Hot Chili Pepperd
3- Take Me Out by Frand Ferdinard
2- Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes
Honorable Mentions:
– Mr. Brightside by The Killers
– Can't Stop by Red Hot Chili Pepoers
– Hysteria by Muse
– Chop Suey! by System Of A Down
– Fall To Pieces by Velvet Revolver
-American Idiot by Green Day
– Icky Thumb by The White Stripes
1- Plug In Baby by Muse
In my opinion this are the best guitar riffs.
Some are because are very recognizable or at least I could recognize them at first.
Others because are extremely amazing!
I'm not a huge fan of all these bands, maybe i like one or a few songs but I recognize when the guitar is really well-played.
How did Fall Out boy’s awesome guitar solo in “the takes over the breaks over” not make this list
here to stay by korn is god like riff
my two favorite bands of all time in the same list!! Muse & Avenged Sevenfold <3
I might advise a bit of homework by you guys on your terminologies. This chick hasn’t a clue what she is talking about and the scriptwriters don’t know what they’re writing
Linkin Park One Step Closer should be somewhere on this list
God finally a great list. Rhcp! The killers! Slash??!!!! YESSSSS
