Are you a die-hart anime fan? A true otaku? Well, why don't you check out our new Facebook page where we publish about anime everyday? http://www.facebook.com/MojoAnime
The only reason I (probably) enjoyed the movie is I didn't see the anime
I'm an anime fan and I want to fucking kill whoever thought about the Netflix shitty version of death note
wtf man why netflix whyyyy
Thank you for saving me from more drivel.
Regarding point 3, you got it backwards. Upon writing the cause of death, you have an additional 6 minutes and 40 seconds to WRITE out any details regarding the death. Light Yagami in the anime did manipulate deaths basically weeks in advance to give him insurance if he'd be caught. Light Yagami could've likely manipulated victims like Light Turner, but Light Turner could only manipulate the deaths 48 hours preceeding the death.
While I was watching this movie I periodically said “trash” aloud between my crippling cringes
that movie sucks the anime is better this the movie its well as i can say it but the director did not watch the anime
why can't anime stay like anime?
THIS SUCKS SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!
Lol Its not terrible as long as u pretend the anime has no relationship with the movie XD. That's what I did and I wasn't mortified!
Oh my god this is horrendous. My brain is cringing so hard I might have an anurism
As just a movie I liked it, but because it was supposed to be based on the anime it was worse than trash.
For you guys who bitching about Light's reaction, let me give you explanation:
The Original Japanese Light Yagami was ALREADY USING his Death Note and KNOW what the Death Note really was SEVERAL DAYS BEFORE meeting Ryuk. Perhaps, he also already calculated the possible existence of a supernatural creature that might come to him one day.
Meanwhile, this Light HAS NOT even "use" his Death Note yet and doesn't even know what the book really is before he meeting Ryuk, a creature which most American don't believe to be exist. Yes, I know many of people in U.S don't believe in supernatural beings.
So, it's logical if this version of Light will freak out. If you are a supernatural skeptic and then SUDDENLY meeting a creature like Ryuk, how would you react?
I've realized one that was missed – Light was never truthfully Kira! Mia was the brains of the operation. Light was a puppet to both her and Ryuk.
concidering its an adaptation, im not suprise for the changes. i mean come on…its an ADAPTATION. but god~~~~… they made my L a wussy!
why netflix?!.. WHYYyYyYyYYy!
L (netflix) not L in anime death note. or L in live action Death note.
it was probably almost midnight at the end. Light had to burn the page with his name on it, so as he couldnt just make Mia burn the page without dying, he made her die. the true mess is: if the page with light's name was in the book and light had the book, WHY TF COULDN'T HE BURN IT HIMSELF
Light Turner's an average kid that no one understands. Mom and Dad and Vicky always giving him commands!
#1: The cringe inducing swearing.
When the main character was at his angriest in the cartoon, the worst he said was "Matsuda! Don't screw with me." It was generally light on the language and had a very good dramatic dynamic. If America is going to steal from Japan, they might as well have stolen that too. Instead, the movie shows that you're in for a very stupid time when Kid Turner says "demon motherfucker" like an idiot.
oh fuck it, i didnt know that the movie is already out
ok thanks ! not gonna watch this crappy trash movies -.- BUT why for gods sake why is L a black person suddenly ?? that makes no sense and doesnt fit in it at all
90s music is aesthetic
You forgot that they left out the most important character in the series – MATSUDA <3
How the do you go from stating "alleged white-washing" and then not even a minute later show a black L? 1, if the movie takes place in America, a majority of the characters aren't going to be Japanese at all. The majority of America is white, but there is still diversity in this movie. and 2, this movie still sucked a lot and I'm in agreement that it was a bad to move the setting and change the characters'…characters. Light is a childish punk. Misa (Mia) is just a straight up witch. L is a crybaby (as stated in the video). The presentation of this movie sucked. And I doubt that most of the cast, if any, even watched or read Death Note. But anyway, I'll be damned if another mother fucker calls this shit "white-washing". Fuck off. The only people that called the newer Annie "blacked out" were assholes. Same principle in regards to calling something "white-washing". (Oh no. How dare I go and use Annie as an example. Shame on me.) Shut the fuck up.
to be fair in the original Japanese Death Note in the second season as well a little bit in the first season they do have ties with the US oftenly and at one point in the second season they all go to LA to meet up with mellow. but I digress… I would have liked to see everything that the original had but what can you do when it's made in America? lol
what a disaster !
yea I saw the trailer right before I this and I could tell it was gonna be bad
This movie was awesome. Sorry we aren't all anime fans!
The only thing they did get right, was casting Wilem Dafoe as Ryuk.
I lasted 5 minutes! As soon as light screamed like a pussy! They ruined everything about the anime that I hold dear to my heart. They used the first names of the series and slapped Death Note title and fucking hoped for best.
3:57-Whoa, he "mama" instead of "mother"…..I like it. Needs to happen more often. 5:42-I'm sorry. I don't have Netflix, so perhaps I'm confused. Did he just say "Off Timmy Turner"?
Am i the only person that actually loves this movie
The movie practically killed me in its death note
T R A S H, I'm a fan of Death Note, and this is what you gave me? >:( Fite m3
anime is really better than the movie….
This movie is so bad I can't watch this video!!
I don't give a f*ck about Netflix's Death Note.BECAUSE IT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really HATE that this movie was made. Like I never even seen it and I HATE it. Death Note one of my fav animes and this movie might as well been a parody.
