That clip was not from walking with monsters, it was from the sea monsters spin-off with Nigil Marvin. Christ, fact check your shit.
I still remember the video where you talked about Captain Marvel(Carol Danvers) but only used clips of DC's Captain Marvel AKA Shazam! I DONT EVEN KNOW HOW YOU FUCKING DID THAT!
Martin Scorsese's The Blues or My Voyage To Italy
Cool
Baseball should be on the list
I thought of a few more:
Vietnam: The 10000 Day War
Canada: A People's History
Auschwitz: The Nazi's and The Final Solution
Among the Honorable Mentions, I was hoping to see The Day the Universe Changed / Connections.
The Blue Planet in HD.. Probably the most breathtaking documentary you'll ever watch indeed.
I would have added James Burke's series; especially Connections, to show how everything links together, And I woulg have added Kevin Brownlow's Hollywood because of its love for and rich detail of the silents. Connections is available on DVD, but Hollywood has not been seen since its original airing.
To add to the list is the 6 part mini series Broadway: The American Musical.
National Parks should have been on this list.
When Dave's top of the list, you know they "done good"
Mojo, I honestly thought Cosmos would be up near the top. I'm an Amateur Astronomer, possibly one of the only sciences the man in the street can contribute to. My club (Astronomical Society of the South West (Australia)) hold many public nights (looking through telescopes, watching documentaries) and many folk comment on the Carl Sagan series, which we also have in our DVD collection. It changed the views of a lot of people = "we are stardust".Another is The Ascent of Man. Mate, this fills in the gaps. An awesome series.Still, love most of what you put out there. Of course you are going to get critics, but most of your stuff should be essential watching for + junior-senior students. Thankyou.
Is bbc Life in this?
Interesting list, but I think Celluloid Closet might have been at least honorable mention. Interesting study of way Hollywood and thus America looked at lesbians and gays.
8:33 Try same thing with my girlfriend and dont know why, but he got scare of the spider I was holding…
Eyes on the Prize?
Jim Al-Khalili made beautiful documentary series!!!
They credited part of the Walking with Dinosaurs section incorrectly. The clip with Nigel Marven is actually from Sea Monsters, not Walking with Monsters. Sea Monsters still is another mini series spawned from Walking with Dinosaurs, though, as is Chased by Dinosaurs, another prehistoric life mini series with Nigel Marven.
the best of the best!
I have all the whole series of walking with dinosaurs. VHS. and this just reminded me that I even had them
the civil war was the best one
Planet Earth is N°1 and you got it right, but Cosmos should be N°2.
1:17 Astrology???!
Connections, the 1978 documentary hosted by James Burke deserved at least a mention.
why isn't LIFE on this list?
Cosmos should be number one!
Cosmos should have been number one
Walking with Dinosaurs 😀
that shit was my childhood.
Best Beatles songs? who the hell is to say whats the best Beatles song?
12:33 you want sum fuk? no ron, go find becky. please, lemme smash!
With all of the other Ken Burns films on the list, I'm surprised The National Parks: America's Best Idea didn't make the list. But Civil War is definitely a fantastic alternate.
Buds class 234!?
my favorite documentary series is "Steve'o Rise and Demise" an MTV documentary about the Jackass star Steve'o's drug and alcohol problem and then up to getting sober
Cosmos should be no. 1 or 2 IMO.
I only clicked because "walking with dinosaurs" was on the thumbnail
5:47 is not Walking With Monsters, it's Sea Monsters.
Walking with dinosaurs was bae
Planet Earth…..NO COMPETITION!
Cosmos : A Spacetime Odyssey isn't here? what the hell?
