I would think that Wes Anderson is more known for his pastel and muted colors in his movies.
You're seriously missing Lynch, Kurosawa, Nolan, Burton, Miyazaki & Spielberg for distinctive director trademarks.
Martin Scorsese: Leonardo DiCaprio
Quinton Tarrantino: Gratuitous foot-shots / foot worship.
WHERES CHRISTOPHER NOLANNNNNNNN
Way too many lens flares in jj abrams movies
Michael Mann (cities from the air)
Christopher Nolan and practical effects should have made the list, I mean where his parents murdered by computers?
Edgar Wright? Burton?
Quentin Tarrantino's movies also have eating sequences, POV shots, God's eye shots, great music score
this one is good also:
Where the fuck is spike lees floating scene? I know he ain't the first to do it but he trademarked that shit no doubt
Alfonso Cuaron is Home Video openings…
Tarantino is just a one-trick pony, everyone knows which tricks he'll use before watching one of his movies: a take with characters interacting but focused around food (strudel, cheese burger, nachos, etc.), spaghetti western music, intertitles of white text over a solid black background, gory deaths, black humor, and every other shit he always uses and we all know, fuck that overrated formulaic idiot.
You missed Scorsese, with the "God's POV Shot" making religion always present, narration, slowmotion introducing important characters, the "limbo" endings of his protagonist and a different kind of violence. Also Aronofsky, the mirrors show another self of the characters and the light anticipates a change in the story.
Stephen King always plays like Van Halen I think
How can bullet time be trademark of wachowskis if they used it only in one movie.
Quentin Tarantino Bloody Fast Paced Action, Michael Bay Explosion, Roland Emmerich Destruction, Paul Greengrass Shaky Cam, Steven Spielberg Iconic Films, Christopher Nolan Confusing Elements, James Cameron Suspenseful Moments
Spielberg : faces in astonishment, beam of light , father son relationship …
Wait… so no "double gun" showdown in John Woo films? Or Michael Bay BLOWING EVERYTHING UP?
im calling it when Swamp Thing gets made its gotta be del toro
your trademark would be your annoying voice
No love for Edgar Wright? Visual humor, close-ups and pans? Guillermo using creatures is like putting in Snyder for having action scenes. His films are mostly fantasy so it's a given.
yassss quentin ma boo
Honourable mention:
Adam Sandler – shitty movies
Michael Bay: Mass Destruction and Lens Flares
Tim Burton: Creepy-Funny Dark Tone & Johnny Deep
Christopher Nolan: Epic Soundtrack
George Lucas: Wipe Transition between scenes
I feel like wes andersons trade mark is also the use of long takes
michael bay : the bayhem (circular camera move, explosion)
edgar wright : fast cut to cut, visual comedy
Mostly interested in the "good story" trademark.
You forgot Michael Bay's explosions
René ferretti: boris
When talking about JJ Abrams's signature Lens Flare, it felt like they were over exaggerating the amount and the drastic brightness of each flash, sometimes making the whole screen white.
What about Michael bay and explosions
Wes Anderson: Bill Murray
Michael bey
Michael Bay: Explosions, No Story/Plotholes, over-sexualised Shots
Martin Scorsese???? Hello???
Steven Spielberg?
This list was GARBAGE AND HAS NO DEPTH!
