How did Catcher in the Rye not make it on the list?
"Then who the fuck's Anne Frank?"
how dare we allow people to be exposed to literature that causes us to think for ourselves and critique the status quo!
And yet all these books are available to buy. BUT NO HERE DIARY! JUST CAUSE ANNE HAS A BOARING DIARY DONT KILL IT!
If we ban everything that makes someone uncomfortable, we end up with nothing at all.
Banning TKAMB isn't ridiculous. They say "nigger" on almost every page. It must make black students feels very awkward.
Wasn't this already published? Feels like I have watched it once. Re-upload?
Offense culture ticks me off so much
This vid = D E J A. V U.
I was personally outraged when I heard that To Kill a Mockingbird was banned, I remember reading that book back in Junior high & it really helped shape my understanding of the civil rights movement, now it's being banned, it's reasons like this that we have so many people who are so easily offended by the slightest things!
James and the Giant Peach has been banned because it contains drug/alcohol references and has been believed to promote disobedience.
You know what, surprisingly, isn't banned? My farts.
No wonder some idiot backward caveman banned everything for no reason
"A book should not be banned just because some people disapprove of its content".
That's a law that needs far more rigorous enforcement in this day and age .
Doujinshi XD
Uhhh, TKaM is SUPPOSED to make you uncomfortable so you'll change things. That's the POINT. People make me sad sometimes.
I love Alice in wonderland way would they banded that book banded books is Stupid thing people do people should read what they want

Wasn't that the whole point of To Kill a Mockingbird? To make people realize what life was really like during a certain point in US history?

Kind of wish Catcher in the Rye was banned in my school
Why people think they're superior to animals; actually they inferior; they are evil, cruel, idiotic; the two legged monkey is the only animal that deserves being hunt. Build some stuff and think the're the king of the world
So they ban all these books yet still let us read romeo and juliet in school? Like most of the books are fictional or somewhat educational (like anne frank)
Yet they let us read romeo and juliet where a 14 year old dates some 25 year old, their families dont like it, and they think "they dont like us together so lets kill ourselves instead of being logical and doing something else" someone p l e a s e explain this logic
Anne Frank’s diary was also banned for, and I quote, “being a real downer.”
didn't she say no children's books last I checked harriet the spy was considered a children's book I could be wrong about that though and I'm pretty sure Alice in Wonderland is also considered a childrens book
also where was Catcher in the Rye
I wonder if the people who rally to get certain books realize know they're only going to get everyone else curious and want to read those books?
Son of a bitchhhhhhhhhhh.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Most of these books are on school reading list. Shocked that animal farm isn't on this list.
No Captain Underpants issue #12?
When I first read "Mockingbird", I remember thinking "Is it just me or does this kid Dill come off as gay?" I later found out he was based on Harper Lee's childhood friend Truman Capote and I thought "Okay, it's not just me." But seriously, most of the books on this list are great. Some of them I haven't read.
Those people who banned books are people that bans creative and imagination

Lol. We read and watched "To Kill A Mockingbird" when I was a sophomore in highschool in 2006.
No books should ever be banned. Yes, they can be critiqued and even judged for their portrayal of certain controversial subjects- it starts a discussion and explores varying opinions. But banning them? No.
Hmmm. I wonder what's the #1 banned book. Could it be a certain one that comes up more than often?
Reading the book the catcher and the rye made me want to kill myself before anyone else
Personally, I find it hard to believe that in a country like America, that there are certain reactionary fanatics that want to ban certain books because of controversial content in them. Well, that is unfortunate because of the fact that morons don't seem to have any regard for freedom of speech and expression for years.
Move to China book banners, you will love it there.
SJWs. Guess they've been around a lot longer than we knew in different forms.
People aren't happy unless they have something to complain about.
