Gunny was actually given the rank of Gunnery Serg. after he had left the Corps because of his role in the movie.
I watched Citizen Kane. I still have no idea why people think it's so great. It's boring as fuck both intellectually and visually and has boring point/reveal at end. It's not the WORST movie of all time, but it's so far from being the "best" that the best movies can't even see it from where they are.
It seems like one of those films/books that just gets exalted culturally beyond its actual merits and everyone just jumps on board with that perception due to the psychology of group think.
Fight Club mind fucked me and didn't even use a condom.
I wanted to see "this is berk" from HTTYD
Gonna make a prediction … "The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed" …
Best first line ever of the best movie ever (though it's also saddest, most depressing movie I've ever seen): "September 21, 1945… that was the night I died."
If you can guess, you get a prize! 😀
When I think the of my wife, I always think of the back of her head. I picture cracking her lovely skull, unspooling her brain, trying to find answers.

First & last line.

I want to go back now and watch all of these. Full metal jacket is the one for me.
you missed out on Mad Max 2, (howling wind) "My life fades".
"Solving the following riddle will reveal the awful secret behind the universe, assuming you do not go utterly mad in the attempt. If you already happen to know the awful secret behind the universe, feel free to skip ahead." Actually I would say the entire monologue at the start of John Dies at the End.
Mad Max isnt on here im SUING
My name is Max. My world is fire. And blood. Once, I was a cop; a road warrior searching for a righteous cause. As the world fell, each of us in our own way was broken. It was hard to know who was more crazy. Me… or everyone else. Here they come again. Worming their way into the black matter of my brain. I told myself… they cannot touch me. They are all dead. I am the one who runs from both the living and the dead. Hunted by scavengers. Haunted by those I could not protect. So I exist in this Wasteland. A man reduced to a single instinct: survive.
what a shitty list
commenting first before watching the video, If I don't find Ewan McGregor's Trainspotting monologue I'd be disappointed a wee bit :/
"I shall never forget the weekend Laura died." 1944's "Laura" is, for me, perfect.

The Prestige was also very good
"My name is Ismael"
