If the Simpson's Arcade game was released in 1991 that would have been during The Simpson's 5th season, not the 2nd season. Remember the Simpson's debut was in 1987…
I might be able to retire now if I could have back all of the quarters I sunk in the early '90s into games #10 (Nightcrawler was my guy), #9 (only team I never played with was the Dallas Mavericks — they were simply too crappy — yeah, I would even G up the underwhelming Timberwolves and Bucks from time to time) and #1…but especially #9!
Crazy Taxi was a great game . I remember having to wait in line to pl ay Street Fighter 2 . Was hard to ever find an empty machine. This is a fun list. Wish I coyld go play these at the arcade today. Arcades almost do not exist here in my city. Consoles are cool but they hurt the arcade . PC games stuck in the knife. Cell phone/tablet games are putting the final nail into the coffin.
Where is Sega Rally?
Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder
It kind of ticks me off that Turtles in Time gets on these lists, as the SNES game is the one everyone remembers, because it had more stages and played better. The only thing the arcade game had going for it was better sound and 4 – player co-op. Also, the original TMNT arcade game was more faithful to the show and more fun to play, in my humble opinion.
Rocket Lauwncher!
Cruis'n USA >>>>>> Daytona USA
Not sure when it came out, but I spent a lot of time in arcades in the 90s & my fav was a game called "Hard Driving" or "Hard Drive'N" It looked like a flight simulator & had a steering wheel with resistance. I learned how to drive ( at least the fun stuff like how to slide a car & more importantly how to recover from a slide) playing that game. Was a GREAT game! P
Great list added some great ones to my library thanks!
No Virtua Striker? (especially the 1998 version)
Turtles gameplay was from the Snez version and not the arcade, very naughty!!
was NFL Blitz not a 90's arcade game? if so it needed to be on this list.
where's virtua fighter? :'(
can you do a top ten with light gun arcade shooters? time crisis, revolution x, area 51 just to name a few that I'm thinking of.
Mortal Kombat II is number 7? I think the people who put this list together were in diapers during the 90's. If SF2 is number 1,then MKII is second on the list.
no doubt that daytona should have been top 3, simpsons over daytona? are you that bad at this?
i am britains king of street fighter 2 1993 ….. nuff said
fucking mojo is everywhere with his shit
I had fun with some of these back in the day. It's too bad the BattleTech/MechWarrior-like game B.O.T.S.S. ( Battle of the Solar System) wasn't on the list.
Mortal Kombat 2, my god
In 2017 street fighter II will get another sequel as ULTRA street fighter II the final chalngers for the nintendo switch
Wasn't Karate Champ from the 80's the inspiration for a lot of these fighting games?
There are allot more of great arcade titles of the 90s but as usual you picked the most well payed games and didn't concentrate in value that much.
A game is missing…Sunset Riders!
Bubble puzzle!
I still remember the first time I threw a haduken
Wow who the hell putting this list together no Contra
Smash TV is one of the greatest games ever made.
Metal slug was the shit!!!!!!
#1 Revolution X, starring Aerosmith
