I'm English – and I loved the English ' Who's Line Is It Anyway' but the US Version was so much better.
I will tell you upfront veep sucks it doesn't poses the wit and adorability of thick of it
The British house of cards is much more deep and dark I love Kevin spacey but the American one doesn't do much justice
the american shameless is shit, they fucked it up, frank was totally out of character, he was just a bum in the american one
I knew The Office would be on here! I knew it!
The US Shameless was really good but it was nothing compared to UK Shameless but it's not their fault, they even had Paul Abbott the original creator on board but it's just too difficult to recreate that Manchester culture, atmosphere and language anywhere else, except maybe Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Dublin or Belfast, basically any city north of Sheffield within the British Isles. I know Dublin isn't part of the UK and Belfast and Glasgow really shouldn't be, that's why I wrote British Isles, but the same atmosphere and sense of humour prevail in those cities!! You only have to watch the movie The Commitments or go to a Celtic v Rangers game or spend a night out in Newcastle (even if it's a Tuesday night) or have a conversation with a scouser in a pub or go to comedy night in Belfast to realise this!! Still, of all those places, Manchester WAS the perfect setting for this show. Manchester just has something different about it, you only have to take a look at their incredible music history to see that! If you're American, or even if you aren't, and you've only seen the US version, I strongly urge you to watch the UK version, you'll never look back (in anger), sorry, couldn't resist an Oasis pun, I only wish I had a Stone Roses one instead!! And David Threlfall as Frank Gallagher is genius. William H Macy is great but Threlfall IS that character!!
C'mon, Shameless is better than Queer as Folk…
Love the thick of it
in their other video of worst American remakes Life on Mars is like number 4 but here it's an honourable mention for being good haha stop
Whose Line is it Anyway started on BBC Radio 4 in the late '80s before transferring to Channel 4 TV
You missed Sanford & Son.
Since I never heard of this American "Inbetweeners," I took a poll of other Americans. I couldn't find one single person who'd even heard of it. From reading the comments here, though, it's clear that the show was watched by a lot of Brits, as odd as that seems.
How about University Challenge? That's a British remake of the American show College Bowl.

These are some American shows I've liked, off the top of my head. Not sure where they all originated.
The Office is freaking great
"House of cards doesn't look like it's going anywhere"…. hmmm, I think you might wanna rethink that.
Considering current events, and seeing House Of Cards on this list, I'd like to see a list of Kevin Spacey vehicles that are now disturbing to watch knowing what we now know about him.
I'm but sorry but having shameless in this list is awful!! That remake is awful compared to the UK version!!! Come on watchmojo… you can do better than copying some list a retard posted on reddit
Without a shadow of a doubt the US version of 'Who's Line is it anyway' was a hundred times better than the English version. I say that as an Englishman.
I knew they were both by Armando iannuci but I never knew veep was a remake of the thick of it
House of cards rip
Sanford and Son . . . Steptoe and Son
American Idol/Pop Idol/X-Factor is an abomonation which has ruined a generation of creatives worldwide
Steptoe and Son –> Sandford and Son
