Okay I'm gonna say it, Will Smith still has a square shaped head even when his head is shaved evenly. And he only made those comments because he didn't get an award. Don't care what he says. He's been real quiet before and since.
White people get so angry when us colored folk bring up issues about Racism. Smh
maybe because the other actors were better? not everything is based around race.
Implying they were snubbed due to their skin color is the definition of race baiting.
I don't know what you consider people of color answer during during the US election in the State of Florida Hispanics were being called people of color which doesn't make much sense since most Hispanics in Florida are of Cuban descent and they are the most likely group of Hispanics to identify as white in the US the term Hispanic is separate for race and can be any race. I don't see how I don't see how an Indian from Bolivia is the same race as a mulatto Puerto Rican is the same race as a Mexican Mestizo is the same race as an Asian-Peruvian. I think personally it's just a term the census in the United States should get rid of all together there's too much confusion over it. of course, that still brings up the question who would you consider a person of color? Would an American Indian be a person of color? Would an Asian be a person of color? would an Australian aborigine be a person of color? And who decides this anyway? Oh yeah white people
I'm not watching this video.
I only came here just to see how many thumbs down there are.
Non-North-American here: I don't get the problem with the title "of color" mention. I saw two indigenous people mentioned, not only black. Any Captain around?
what no Asians?
White is a color too you nigga loving hoes
Idris Elba would be nominated if Beasts of No Nation was released in cinemas before it went on Netflix. blame Netflix and its weird way of movie distribution, not the Academy.
Viola Davis in The Help?
All the angry white people in the comments surely must recognize that this video probably wasn't made by someone of color. So it shows that races other than blacks seem to care about these injustices that SOME white people seem to believe are blind…so plz stfu
It is sad how racist, hateful America is, especially Hollywood.
wheres denzel washington in training day?????????????????????
Okay but some of these were definitely snubs. The only debatable part is if race was a factor.
Will Smith didn't deserve a nomination for Concussion that year but Sam Jackson did in Hateful Eight
Wasn't Concussion just not considered a good film? Idris definitely deserved a nom though… CARRIED that movie!
Creed should've been nominated for best director(Ryan Coogler), best actor(Michael B. Jordan), and best supporting actor(Sylvester Stallone). Straight Outta Compton definitely should've been nominated for best actor or supporting actor(Jason Mitchell), and maybe best director(F. Gary Gray). Don't even get me started on David Oleyowo in Selma, he definitely should've gotten nominated for best actor too.
You guys left out Adult Chiron from Moonlight, he's a rookie actor and nailed that part with just his body language and little dialogue.
Earning awards depends on your talent, not your skin colour…
Idris Elba deserved that Oscar man, Good job watch mojo! His performance was incredible
Will Smith didn't really deserve a nomination. Maybe he did. If he was to take out anybody's nomination, it would have been Bryan Cranston's. I forget what Cranston's performance was like, I just remember it being good. Will Smith's performance was about as good as Cranston's, I'd say.
Jason mitchell def got snubbed of a oscar. The movie was good but his performance elevated that shit.
anyone else think that the Creed actor looks like Justice Young on 2k17?
Denzel washington for Philadelphia
Taraji p. henson for Hidden figures
Three of those that mentioned his nomination was impossible to happen.
Watchmojo are Fanboys of the Rocky franchise.
such dislike ahhh such beauty
As a result, Ali won Oscar this year for just saying "Fgt is bad word". He did nothing special in that film, anyone could have played him. As a result, #OscarsSoBlack and #OscarsSoGay, stealing nomination from Aaron Taylor-Johnson and victory from La-La Land
I think O' Shea should have been nominated and WON instead of Jason Mitchell for Straight Outta Compton
I can't believe there are so many dislikes. I am white, and I find that absolutely disgusting! Over half of these were definitely snubbed. For all those who disliked because you found this racist or insulting… stop feeling sorry for yourself! This is an important list!
what is the background music…?
Back ground music plz..?
someone tell me the background music plz
Really agree on Idris elba's beast if no nation. Even Mandela long walk to freedom. That was a great snub
You put Oprah Winfrey being snubbed for The Color Purple but not Whoopi Goldberg? Please.
Idris Elba wasn’t nominated because of Netflix’s shitty movie program, not because of race, though admittedly that’s the only one with an excuse. Thankfully Mary J. Blige should break that barrier.
A black actor? Well shit let's hand them awards for being black
alot of these are from 2015
Harry Belafonte for Kansas City. He deserved that Best Supporting Actor prize he won from the NY Film Critics, and deserved the Oscar.
Without a doubt, the biggest snub of an 'Actor Of Color' for the Oscar goes to Adolph Caesar who portrayed Sgt. Waters in the 1984 movie "A Soldier's Story". Adolph Caesar acting made the movie and he was nominated by the Academy for Best Supporting Actor. He lost to Haing S. Ngor (The Killing Fields).
