Superhero Origins: Nova
Some people have greatness thrust upon them – even the most unlikely people. Welcome to WatchMojo.com and today we will explore the comic book origin of Nova. Suggestion Tool►► Subscribe►► Facebook►► Twitter►► Instagram►► Channel Page►►
As with most comic book characters, there are often re-imaginations and different versions to a character’s past. We have chosen primarily to follow the storyline which unfolded in 1976’s Nova #1 and was expanded upon in 1993’s New Warriors #42 and 2013’s Nova Vol. 5 # 1-3.

Please do Atlas next…. for supervillain origin
It would be awesome super fantastic to play him.
this video is so sloppy. Do you even know anything about the character? you should have done separate videos for Rich Rider and Sam. You totally skip right over what makes Rich a great character.
+WatchMojo.Com can you do one on timberwolf please
he should get a Netflix show
subscribe please
the origin seems familiar
I used to read Nova comics while riding around in the back seat of my mom's Chevy Nova back in '76 !
So was Nova that they got it from the Green Lanterns or was it reversed?
I'm honestly pissed that Watchmojo keeps referring to the original comics, I have no problems with staying true to the original but it's like they never really mention alternate origins or modern renditions to his origin except for comics that expedite the story; Variant does this significantly better in my opinion, just saying.
this just the marvel vision of green Lantern
bucket head
they should change their origins for mcu….
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Nova son of Thanos? Or is it something I've been misunderstanding?
Nova was a rip-off character from the dc character the green lantern aka Hal Jordan and I know nova is marvel's version of the green lantern.
if marvel will ever do a nova film i am the perfect castigo choice for Sam
I wish to see more of Richard Rider than Sam Alexander
One OF MY ALL TIME fav SUPERHEROS
Invincible powers…yet he died.
This sounds a lot like Hal Jordan's origin. Great character tho.
Good, now do Darkhawk.
i think the nova and green lantern core shall both exsist !!!
so its marvels version of the green lantern core cool cool
nova is my favorite character
Nova may be a Rip off of Green Lantern but he's certainly better then him I mean seriously Marvel has a Habit of doing DC characters better then DC (I think it's because Marvel doesn't make them overpowered)
SHAZAM!
So many DC fans calling Nova a Green lantern ripoff, green lantern is trash nova is gud
Nova Prime = Abin Sur
Richard Rider = Hal Jordan
Nova Corp = Green Lantern Corps
Worldmind = Central Battery
Nova Suit = Green Lantern Ring
Xandar = Oa
Can you origins prowler
that means nova's basically starboard but cooler and better
RICHARD RYDER, YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO OVERCOME GREAT FEAR
Nova for Marvel V Capcom 4!
Why is it described in Marvel comics that Xandar is a destroyed planet in which Rich and Sam inherit powers from, while in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie Bandar is a thriving planet full of life?
