Everytime I see these comparisons I always say the same, pelease just do not compare them, it happened the same with the joker and many others, without the first, there won’t be a second one and of course one affects the other, otherwise, each versión is an image of it’s times and circunstancies.
2017
you can't compare the two because one is rated R and one is rated PG
Skarsgård's Pennywise sounds like Scooby-Doo.
Remake Pennywise for the Win
2017 version far closer to what King described…
For once a remake that is actually better. That's a rarity.
1990 or 2017 both verison of Pennywise from IT are scary
Pure nightmare fuel!!
Tim Curry or bust
The newer IT movie is simply scarier.
For someone who isn't scared of clowns, i find it hard for other people to be scared pf clowns
As pennywise mainly targets children 1990 can lure kids better before they are scared. 2017 looks more like he's suited to targeting adults more so the kids given his creep factor.
2017 for intimidation 1990 for profile
Tim curly was the best
Bill's pennywise being ultra scary looking is the issue. Pennywise is supposed to be approachable by kids, any kid that see Bill's would run away
in performance curry should win
Really would like to see the “Kiss me, fat boy!” scene in the remake
Here is the thing. in the mini series they made him too goofy and did not really go hard enough at his fearful aspects. but with the newer one they tried much to hard to make him scary and let the comedic yet toying side shadowed. I think if they just fused both of them into one character they would capture the true ''It''.
2017 version made me start reading the book.
Pennywise's costume is supposed to be goofy and silly to help him lure in children, therefore, I feel that the design category was unfair
i mean you have to think about time periods like they said in todays standered yes the new one is scary but its the fact today we have more opertunities.
In terms of being effective at his job, Tim Curry's Pennywise is the only one that could actually get any children to come near enough to eat. Second Bill Skarsgard's Pennywise shows up everybody would just go nope and run away.
Well you'd expect to see a clown like the one portrayed by Tim curry than the Pennywise portrayed by Bill Skarsgård
Bill skård is hard to spell
I first saw 1990 IT as a kid and it scared me, but re-watching it years later made me realise it wasn't as good as I remembered. Tim Curry was great, but since it was a TV mini series, some stuff was really cheesy with poor effects. The first half of the movie with the kids is alright, but the second half puts you to sleep, and the end is a huge let down.
I still haven't seen the remake, but it looks a lot better.
Did they watch the Nostalgia Critic's review of the 2017 film?
I loved the new IT but it wasn’t scary, it was very entertaining. Tim Curry’s version was so much creepier still, i personally think the new IT looks like a jester, and he’s not even in it as much as Tim Curry was. I’d rather watch the new movie if I had to choose, but still think Curry was more frightening!
Don't choose 1 be both Joker/Nostalgi Critic IT 2017 review
Bill Skarsgard on every account!
Tim is the better it
I find the new Pennywise to be the better one, just my opinion tho
