I'll admit that the cinematography and production on Gravity was amazing
But overall that movie was overrated. Like Seriously – It got Five stars in our provincal news paper.
did we ignore animation movies? if not, The Adventure of Tin Tin should have been on the list
a decent list but the names you give to the shots you chose are mostly obnoxious…"Burn, Baby, Burn" in reference to "Mirror." That's tone-deaf
Still no Saving Private Ryan huh Mojo?
Revenant, There Will Be Blood, & Birdman (which was like 3 long scenes)
we all know that if they do another one of these lists, the Bear Scene from The Revenant is the sure pick for #1
Surprised Birdman still hasn't got a mention!
What about, well.. pretty much every scene from The Revenant.
The opening sequence from "Spectre". From the start of the movie, following Bond through the streets of Mexico City, up into a hotel bedroom, outside on the balcony, across the rooftops, and showing his target in the window across the alley. Awesome shot
Maybe for a part three, Birdman for basically the entire movie.
Do another one with #1 Birdman or the unexpected virtue of ignorance
Where is Silent House?
Have a look at the Time Square sequence in the Gumball rally it's a very clever one shot scene encompassing most of the character's in the movie. Well worth a mention.
I think you should make another one of these including the ball sequence from pride and prejeudice, at least one scene from "The Revenant." as well as and especially the whole movie "VICTORIA" from 2015 which was done in one shot and took 3 takes to accomplish.
Birdman one of the best I've ever seen!
cant believe they didnt have silent house, that whole movie is one continous shot
The opening scene from Soy Cuba is my favourite continuous shot.
Silent House – the whole movieMichael Clayton – death scene
What about the Kingsman church fight scene?
How there is no reference to VICTORIA?
Stedicam operators never walk or move blindly, there is always a grip (like me) usually the dolly grip walking with him, guiding him.
Do one of the for TV shows, Daredevil and Always Sunny deserve recognition.
Catch-22 plane take-off scene, one of the most elaborate long takes of all time
It might not apply because it's animation, but I have to say the chase through Bagghar in the Adventures of Tintin. Animators had to build a highly detailed and populated town, have a dam breaking in the midst of it, and show the destruction and chaos that ensued in that one take.
Speaking as a budding animator myself, I have to hold the animators in charge of that shot in high esteem.
So happy to see El secreto de sus ojos (AKA The secret in their eyes) was included in this Top 10. Great movie from my country and impressive take
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes tank scene?
you missed #1.Ravenent opening scene
#2. Birdman whole movie
#3. Children of Man (climax scene)
#4. Gangs of wasseypur1 (opening scene)
#5. Gangs of Wasseypur2 ( Nawazudding scene in house)
I feel like the first fight in Creed should have some place on this list.
You have a great collection, really impressing but you missed "Room IN Rome" .
the analysis of the magnolia long take was garbage.
What about the movie "hardcore Henry"? That's also an entire movie that was on interrupted too
what about Birdman?
John wick. Club scene
Contact 1997 – continuous shot, Mirror perspective, not real but looks great
Wow you made this a month before Birdman. Bad timing
