Enjoy these Oats and Quinoa Cutlets/ Kababs as healthy Breakfast or at any time of the day. These highly nutritious, protein rich Cutlets are excellent snack specially if are on a weight loss diet.
Ingredients to make Healthy Oats and Quinoa kababs or Cutlets :-
1/2 Cup Cooked Quinoa
1/2 Cup Cooked broken Oats
1 Chopped onion
1/2 Cup Cooked black beans /rajma
2 tbsp chopped Capsicum
2 tbsp chopped Broccoli
1 small chopped carrot
Some fresh coriander Leaves
Salt to taste
1 tsp dry mango powder
1 tsp Cumin seeds powder
1 cup brown bread crumbs
Olive oil for greasing
1 tsp oats flour
Method to make healthy Oats and Quinoa Kababs or Cutlets :-
In a large bowl add chopped Capsicum, broccoli, Carrot and onions
In the same bowl add cooked broken Oats, Cooked Quinoa, cooked (leftover) rajma/black beans and fresh coriander Leaves
Add salt to taste and all the other spices, mix everything very well
Use hands and take small portion from the mixture make small kababs from it.
Now in a small bowl add 1 tbsp Oats flour (grind quick Oats to make Oats flour) add some water and salt to make a thin paste or batter
Now in another bowl take 1/2 cup bread crumbs
First dip the Cutlets in the oats paste and than roll them into the brown bread crumbs
Place them on a greased baking tray
Bake them in a preheated oven at 180c for 18-20 minutes
Or use a pan or kadai to roast them with a tsp of olive oil,cook the, until they are golden brown form both sides
Serve them warm in breakfast or as snack with your favourite Chutney
