Kevin Costner is associated with the two most well known baseball movies in Field of Dreams and Bull Durham but his best performance by far (including non baseball movies) was For the Love of the Game. Not only is it the best baseball movie of all time, it is the best sports movie, and personally my favorite movie of all time. The fact that it didn't make this list is a major letdown. And in terms of realism, For the Love of the Game is the most realistic then the Natural. The way it is presented where Vin Schully is announcing and seeing the game played out on television adds to the effect. As for the mention of blending comedy, romance, and drama in Bull Durham. Again? For the a Love of then Game, the love story is better. Ask any woman one of their favorite movies and it is Pretty Woman which when you think about is similar to the a Love of the Game whereas in Bull Durham it felt staged and a lot less passionate. As for Drama, a player throwing the last game of his career to one of the best teams (look at the stat lines when they step up to the plate) and attempting for them to not make the playoffs. In Bull Durham what, two ego hungry players were fighting over a woman who slept her whole life? Comedy Bull Durham was slapstick, while in the latter was better timed, more mature, and clever. Regardless, if you have not seen it, watch It!
what is the name of a movie that a bunch of loosers gets (sponshored or something) by a super rich guy and they hire a coach. They train in a really weird way but it the end the beat their main opponent.Â
10. The Natural. 9. Eight men out. 8. Moneyball. 7. Bad News Bears. 6. Sandlot. 5. Major League.  4. League of Their Own. 3. Bull Durham. 2. Field of Dreams.  1. I know it's not a movie, but still the best thing aired about B-ball.  Who's on First.
wow this is an old video
Major Leauge and Sandlot!Â
If 42 was made, it would be on this list.
I need to see Field of Dreams, Bang the Drum Slowly and Bill Durham still…
the rookie?

No "42" on this list? That's one of the best I've seen.
No benchwarmers? Taught a lesson in baseball and kids dealing with bullies.
