There are many skills we wish were taught in school; how to cook, how to manage your money, how to manage your time, how to communicate and how to get a job are all useful things schools should teach, but don’t. Other life skills schools should teach? There should be more schools that teach self-defense to keep students safe. And don’t you think high school seniors should learn how to stay safe online? WatchMojo helps point out the skills you’ll wish you’d learned earlier, so you can try to get a head start.

I believe that we should also care more about personal hygiene and how it affects other people if we smell bad at our workplace or just don't care about health at all and how it can affect others.

I'm going to have to disagree about "Government/How to Vote" being a Honorable Mention. It should be at least in the top five. I've read too many comments, blogs, etc…, online over the past 10-15 years (especially after the recent Presidential election) that show how uneducated a lot of Americans are about basic civics.
I wish I learned all of this stuff in school
Computer science is a GCSE in England so people who aren't into computers don't have to do it.

-Sex Ed (6th Grade) i believe your referring to religious schools?
-they mixed cooking, communication, finances, and media in a cooking class (9th grade-Selective course) it was Garbage besides the knowledge of media.
-Guidance counselor didn't want to be bothered. Actually have to flake class to see them or the 10 minutes explaining are next years classes. (it seemed they pushed more toward planning with your parents)
High school over all felt lack lustered. Like floating to the end of a river into nothingness.

they do teach you how to get a job in high school trust me my English class as a senior made me fill out a mock application and they made me look up three jobs on the internet that are available in town and we had a bunch of Staff do mock interviews for our class so yes they do actually teach that now again another ill-informed WatchMojo video
just for the record I was a senior in high school in 2012 and in my English class I did learn how to get a job I did learn how to fill out a resume I did learn how to fill out a job application I did learn how to write a cover letter I did a mock interview and I learn how to look up jobs on the internet because we were told to look up 3 real jobs available in our town and that was again in 2012 so let me say this yet another ill-informed WatchMojo
number one is actually probably with the most common thing on this list that is actually taught in school yes they do in fact all four years of high school in my math class I was taught how to manage money for all four math classes that I took in high school they did yes every year there was a section on money management again another ill-informed WatchMojo video
I agree with 10. especially since some people have disabilitties and most schools do very little or nothing at all.
Nutrician especially since about 2/3 of people of the world are obese.
My idea comes from my student teaching experience. How about letting teens work during school hours? Then they can share their experiences with classmates in school. They learn real world skills on the job, reflect with peers, counsel with their teachers (advisors), etc. Could be beneficial 🙂
We did loads of coding in primary school and even have a weekly computing lesson. We also do lots and lots and lots of online safety lessons In PSHE as well as mental health.
We also do cooking and sewing or as we call them food tech and textiles

My priorities would be 1: money management.
