3:14 This was always one of my favorite scenes from Aliens 😀
actually, in many respects, alien ripped off It: the terror from beyond space. the unstoppable alien monster in a claustrophobic battle on a spaceship is the same.
All these movies are said to be rip offs from alien, well look at It! The terror from beyond space. See where alien got its inspiration from.
So, in their logic, if it is dark it is allready a rippoff, if it is in close corners, it's a ripoff, if it has an alien in it, it is a ripoff. What a lot of bullocks
Italians, great food, bad ripoffs
so any movie in space and involving an alien species is an alien rip off?
Da excavation, da excavation, da excavation…
OF THE ALIENS!!
Alien was not as original as this video claims it to be. It gets it's influences from old pulp comics.
People stop using the term "RIPPED OFF"! All most everything that has been done in film has been done by others in film. There are few original ideas left.
Jason X is a HUGE ripoff of Alien
I'm surprised they they didn't have Pumpkin Head on the list the creature looked like a xenomorph Stan Winston designed it!
No mention of Xtro or Xtro II?
You forgot "Extro"
We owe Roger Corman a lot of gratitude and thanks to him for getting James Cameron's stellar movie making career started!
Why is Event Horizon and Pandorum an honarable mention? Its a completely different kind of movie. Wtf
Pitch Black shouldnt be on here at all
Pitch black is a brilliant film
I don't think the the abyss is a rip off
IF IT TAKES PLACE IN SPACE OR DEALS WITH KILLER ALIENS ITS A RIPOFF OF ALIENS, EVEN IT IT COMES OUT BEFORE ALIENS.
Brandon Tenold made video reviews for Galaxy of Terror, Contamination, and Creature.
Metroid?
Event Horizon is influenced by Shakespeare's The Tempest and does not rip Alien off at all. The only similarity is they are both set in space.
The aliens in Abyss are not at odds with humans. Shame on you mojo.
Alien 3 & 4 Terminated alien franchise !
Didn't alien rip off a 1950s movie called it, the terror beyond space. And the rumor is alien settle out of court privately. And raiders of the lost arc was a big time rip off of secret of the Incas.

new title to video "We think every movie with an alien in it is an Alien rip off"
Oh fuck you for not even putting "Leviathan" on this list!! It's the biggest Alien ripoff ever!
"Life" is a rippoff too.
I'd like to know how exactly Event Horizon, Pandorum, The Abyss, and even Species are Alien rip-offs? They are completely different films in every aspect. Just because there's aliens and it's sci-fi-fi doesn't make it a rip-off, and just because Porn with a Plot (aka Species) had HR Giger designing the alien female isn't duplicating Alien either. That's absurd to say the least.
Cinema clickbait.
those 80s movies looks so fun
Oh but there is so much more to galaxy of terror, it deserves a remake, the story had good potential
It's definitely ok to use the same general idea as another movie without it being a ripoff. As an example, every zombie movie isn't referred to as a ripoff of The Night of the Living Dead. Every shitty modern action movie isn't considered a ripoff of Die Hard. The idea of a group of guys with guns fighting an alien is not ripping off Alien. Other movie makers should be allowed to use a similar idea without it being regarded as a cheap ripoff. I watched Creature and it's awesome. It's more of a zombie film so why the hell it's on this list is beyond me.
G. SIVA. NAGU
what an asshole.whatchmojo does not know what he/she is talking about
Species 2 was the obvious alien ripoff.
So any movie where people go up against anything that is not from earth is a massive rip off of the Alien franchise. No matter how incredibly different the films are? Good to know
