Well, they were right about Fred Astaire's ears, chin and lack of acting skills. But damn, the man could dance.
Decca sacked Beatles because Pete Best ruined their Decca audition completely. The recording of it sounds just horrible and mainly due the absurdly unaccurate drum parts. The Beatles sacked Best and then hit their big time.

These lists are a wonderful depiction of the fact that people are arrogant. The more power they are given to make decisions, the more arrogant they will become. Look at the guys on wall street. They lie, cheat and steal daily, and the American Public continues to allow them to do so. Because after all, they know what they're talking about!
