Wow I can’t believe 2012 is almost over, what an incredible year for films. Better yet the world didn’t come to end, who’d have figured?! I cannot remember a year where there were so many exemplary films ranging in all different genres as there was this year. From the first film I saw in January which was Joe Carnahan’s “The Grey” to most likely Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained” and Tom Hooper’s “Les Miserables” next week, it has been a year I’ll never forget. Also a lot of big accomplishments/changes in my life as well as my family and friends and of course challenges that we always face head-on.
First off I want to thank and congratulate my fellow yearly wrap-up editors who continue to raise the bar for everyone else like myself and I’m very proud to be a part of that group. This tribute took a great deal of time, effort and sleepless nights but I had a blast with every minute of it. As any editor creator/editor knows, watching your completed work is just a thrill and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
I’d also like to say thank you to my closest friend Fraser Lomas who continuously inspires me in my work and also editing guru Joel Walden for his incredible support, ideas and advise. Finally a big thanks to my family, my dog Gumba who always makes me smile no matter what and also thanks to all my friends out there around the world.
So I hope you all enjoy this latest tribute amongst so many other terrific ones and I wish you all an amazing holiday and a Happy New Year!

That was absolutely beautiful. I love the movies, always have, and this showcases the exact reasons why, at the end of the day, I'll always just keep coming back for more.

No Moonrise Kingdom, and 1 second of Perks of being a wallflower…in my opinion, the two best movies of the year. But otherwise, brilliant job!
