Hacking smartphones
"The 2007 NSA wish book for analysts also includes a number of
software tools that allow data to be stolen from a variety of
smartphones and dumb cell phones. One software hack, called DROPOUTJEEP,
is a software implant for Apple iOS devices that allows the NSA to
remotely control and monitor nearly all the features of an iPhone,
including geolocation, text messages, and the microphone and camera.
(Researcher and developer Jake Appelbaum, who helped write the Spiegel article revealing the documents, said separately this week that the NSA claims DROPOUTJEEP installations are always successful.) Another package, called TOTEGHOSTLY, does the same for phones based on the Windows Mobile embedded operating system.
Both the DROPOUTJEEP and TOTEGHOSTLY releases mentioned in the 2007
product listing required “close access methods” for installation—in
other words, a human being getting up close and personal with the phone
to install it. “A remote installation capacity will be pursued for a
future release,” the document states. But another tool, called
MONKEYCALENDAR, allowed the NSA to remotely install location-tracking
software onto any GSM phone by way of a software implant for SIM cards.
But these aren't the only way the NSA can get to cell phone data.
Also in the bag of tricks are a number of wireless monitoring devices,
as well as “networks in a box” and other gear that can pose as cell
towers and networks—intercepting devices as they enter an area and
grabbing up their voice, data, and SMS traffic. A "tripwire" program
called CANDYGRAM can send out alerts whenever a cell phone hits a
specified cell tower."

Fuck 12
Only a criminal would hide behind security thus security should be accessible by security agencies such as FBI. Why and what are u hiding if u know u are in the right – Your cat's selfies, come on people
When your Use too much Protection you would put people in danger.
I think that apple should do what the FBI says.
they did it over 100 times before but now are going to pretend we haven't, why? two reasons- We love radical Islam, and we know it will effect our sales. We will make up some dumb shit like caring about privacy, even though we have been giving that away since 2005.

So… you will not hack a dead man's phone, who was responsible for murdering innocent people and tried to commit a terrorist attack. Who's going to suffer, the dead man or his dead wife who killed innocents also. Stupidity, you're literally giving IS a free reign to do more attacks.
Free speech, and freedom of privacy can only go so far – if your family was killed, wouldn't you want the killer's phone checked to see if there are any other planned attacks incoming.
If the FBI needs Apple to gain access to phones, they are a pretty ignorant investigation organization. As for a fact, they are!
When spying people through their computers isn't enough, they turn to people's smartphones…. pfff
AMMBER ALERT!!!! HELP! AMBER ALET! HELP! RAAAAPPPPE! HELP!!!! pkease. please. god help. osreal

I'm starting to like trump because he said he's supporting Apple

GO APPLE!!!! (down wid F.B.I!)
freakin' google backin' them up, that's over 800m users world wide, the F.B.I don't stand a chance against apple and google put together, never mind the fact even more tech giants are backing' 'um up to!
"Arguably the most influential consumer company in the world"
Happy early April Fools day to you to, watchmojo.
I think personal safety is better than killing ISIS
I hate Apple but i think i'm not at neither's side. Everyone complaining about that hackers would find that backdoor fast, they've hacked already the current OS. If you won't believe me, how did the hackers get the celeb pics?
Govt wants to know everything. I would go as far as to suggest that they may have had this attack staged in order to force apple to give them the access. Big Brother all over again.
WE GOT IN
Poodle Corp hacked watchmojo
this video has just been added to the playlist Hack and Leaks, I don't think the playlist was there before this channel got hacked.
Oh wait just checked the date, I was wrong
did they get hacked all their titles are the same
Hacked
they is a backdoor for iphones but it is so hard to find it and get in
Its simple. a few high human rights values (life) against EVERYONES privacy and democracy as a whole for now and for all future generations. No, in this case the lives of a few dozend terrorist victims a year are not worth it. If you go by this logic, you need to abandon everyones pricvacy for finding out who goes swimming by the beach to prevent shark killing, or trace all black people all time to protect them from racist cops (these are the same lifes, but just more of them get killed a year by this reason). Also by the same logic you had to abandon guns, because of people who got killed by it – oh wait. thats a good idea, why can't republicans be logic all the way 😛
the fbi has already committed many crimes themselves my my info is mine if the terrorist has important info why not just ask what it sais rather than illegally breaking into it also the true base problem isn't getting into the phone its wiping out isis if they aren't around than where's the problem IT IS A KNOW FACT THAT THE JUSTICE SYSTEM IN ITS INTIRTY HAS COMITED CRIMES THE SELVES THERE NO JUSTICE SYSTEM
solders should be the ones to choose if we go over there in and kill them. not the government if they want a fight and our troops want justice then whose to judge they r the ones risking the most FUCK POLITICS FUCK ISIS
IT MAY JUST BE ME BUT I DONT WANT THE PEOPLE WHO R SUPOSED TO PROTED US TO WATCH OUR CHILDREN OR PARENT OR WIFES OR HUSBANDS WHEN THERE CHANGING OR SHOWERING OR SLEEPING OR ANYTHING THAT WE MIGHT DO IN OUR HOMES THAT IS NOT THE AMERICAN WAY HELL TS NOT EVEN THE HUMANE THING TO DO
George Orwell just became a genius in my eyes bra.
Bush did 9/11.
it is nice to see that the bulk of people are not being hipocrits, and defend this right to privacy as strongly as the right to bear arms.
Anyone else needs more proof that America is corrupted.
Me: Wants to join the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Picks Apple anyway.
