What evidence is there that Diana was intended to win Oscars? The only good thing about it is Naomi Watts' acting – but she couldn't save a boring, incomplete film with an awful script.
The Butler was pretty good though.
Australia was truly awful! But 'Alexander' was a terrible film. And quite what accent did Alexander have? And 'Troy' was very shallow.
Hey ho.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was nominated for Best Picture, with Max von Sydow nominated for Best Supporting Actor. Being so, I don’t understand why it’s mentioned.
480? Fail
Every holocaustploitation movie is an oscar bait movie.
The Fifth Estate and The Butler is really good movies!
Albert Nobbs should be in this top
Concussion should have been number 1! Complete with Jada Pinkett Smith's public freakout after!
Penelope cruz was the best in Nine.Which is why she's the only one that got a nom.She may have been the only one perfectly cast because the movie had good actors in the wrong parts.Oh yea Judy dench was very well cast in her role although it was too small. And off topic where the hell is Hillary swank?I mean you win two oscars for two of the most memorable films in film history and she disagrees just like Amelia Earheart.Australia was just a big lie. They were fucking man hunting savages that wiped out the black natives and that was SOOOOOO IGNORED.That was not oscar bait.
Australia is not a whole continent!!!!
Grace of Monaco deserves top spot- it ended up on lifetime
Nine a 2009 movie on number nine
Colin Farrell, there's your reason.
Extremely Loud is god awful and reeked of Oscar bait. The Majestic is tragically underrated.
Seven Pounds was a "blistering" success at the box office??
Troy is one of my all time favourites
Seven Pounds was ROBBED
Great movie!!
Forest Gump, except the Academy actually liked it
I really like Seven Pounds….
Why is Troy in this? That was just a great movie
(During advertisement) “this is gonna be good..”
Unbroken
Breathe
Allied
The hateful eight
Carol
All deserve best picture nominee
Big eyes
Australia is a country, not a continent….
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close was perfect….
Oscar or not, Troy was a great movie.

Will Smith is an awful actor. Not as bad as his weird eyebrow son but still bad, especially when attempting to be serious…..was alexander oscar bait? lol anyone who saw the previews knew it was a tonne of fucking bollocks, still nice to know alexander the great was a drunken paddy……diana HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA…that movie was fucking panned before it came out "oscar bait" yeah sean penn pretending to be disabled is oscar bait, an abysmal movie about a former royal that died is not
People are not into epic films, for the most part. They're not, for small screen consumption.
The video would have been better if you told us what they could have done differently
I don't think it's fair to say that these movies aren't good just because they didn't get nominated for the oscars.
I dont get why extremely loud and incredibly close is in here
Best picture
Best supporting actor
Thats way better than lets say collateral beauty
None of these movies won awards. But all of these movies r great
I like the following films on this list (in order of appearance):
All the King's Men
Nine
Amelia
The Soloist
Lee Daniels' The Butler
