I made too much money & hook ups with PAGERS! They were status symbols, if you had one you were "important". 911 was frequent for, NETFLIX & CHILL
YOUVE GOT MAIL. I MISS THAT, ITS BETTER THAN THESE TONES
How can we believe that Gordon Gecko is a high-powered player because he uses a brick mobile phone? Because the film is set in 1987.
AOL — MORE LIKE LOL!!!!! XD
In high school and now in college teachers always told us to not have pagers in class and everyone was like wtf is a pager? Schools are always very outdated in technology
Ah, the good old sound of Dail Up. Sound of the 90's lol
I still have the Palm Pilot, VHS Player (not plugged in), the Nokia phone, a samsung flip phone, my partner still has her ex-boyfriend's yellow walkman and there could be some more in the shed. And just watch old Star Trek episodes. There's shitloads of old tech there that is laughable now.
Answering machines are still used.
What's hilarious about any of these? They were commonly used at the time the films were made. Are you saying that you can't take older films seriously because they include things that we don't use any more?
Man, people at watch mojo don't understand the concept of time. But they sure like the word titular. It's in every video.
"For this list, we picked devices that exist in real life that were featured on the big screen"…. then goes on to talk about a movie where a guy stores binary data in his brain.
The Victrola in Saving Private Ryan near the ending really added to the movie I think. creepy French song as the tanks rolled in
What about the "lunchbox" cell phone from Lethal Weapon?
Even back in 2002, I always thought The Ring was outdated as hell with its VHS junk lmao.
for the record I used a Motorola flip phone right up till they disable analog frequency in Canada and frankly would still be using one if they allowed analog frequency. Even today there are places you can't get any kind of real signal on digital cell phones where the analog phones work just fine it's kind of a quirky issue that was a big thing back when analog was shut down it cost the government thousands because they were planning to continue using analog cell phones for various government departments due to the fact there is a lot of places you could get a signal that you can't with a digital phone.
is it bad im 12 going on 13 but i know more about the nes, windows 95 and the gameboy than my windows 10 computer im typing this message on?
I can't remember which James Bond it was, but he was waking up with a beautiful woman in a fancy hotel, and clicked his red digital watch to see what time it was heehee
You bred Unix systems? To keep the T.rex entertained.I tried giving it a cellphone, but it is only used to these. They have been using these for millions of years you know.
I and everyone I know still has an answering machine.
*FACEPALM* UNIX systems aren't outdated at all. What a dumb thing to say! We're literally surrounded by UNIX variants. YOUTUBE'S SERVERS RUN APACHE, A UNIX VARIANT, as do most websites. So does your smartphone, be it android or iphone. Mac OSx is a UNIX variant. All those little computers embedded into your various household gadgets? Yuppers.
It actually makes me a bit nostalgic. I grew up with VHS, dial-up, floppy discs. pagers (my dad had one from work), and film. In fact, my mom had this old camera that had flash cubes that she would use for various pictures (Christmas, birthdays, school stuff). I think it's still lying around the house somewhere.
ring remake EMAIL
Friends Win95 Computer
3:49 Oh Yay Lisa Kudrow!! Know From Phoebe Buffay in Friends….
I Love F.r.i.e.n.d.s tv series
I simply love the childish expression in 80's movies whenever the "internet super highway" is mentionned.
The Ring was remade in 2017, named Rings.
Isn't 160G kinda of a lot???
that Palm device is so dated that Brittany Murphy is dead. it's funny that all these devices are now in one thin and rectangular device.
And to think in 2027 we're gonna laugh at the tech we have in 2017……and I'm still gonna be using my iPhone 7
VHS are making a comeback
Remember how difficult it was to part ways with AOL?
