Ok, So Recycling can be pretty boring… but if you give a hoot about the planet, here’s some encouragement. It’s no joke that our planet could be facing a bleak future if we don’t do our part, but many still don’t recycle believing that its a wasted effort. We’re here to prove that this isn’t true by asking questions like; Was recycling introduced to reduce waste? Does compost just biodegrade anyway? Are recycled goods more expensive? Is recycling financial viable? Does recycling consume more energy than it saves? and more! So check out these myths as we debunk them.

post industrial plastic recycling is good for a profit.
Penn and Teller's BS has pretty much busted recycling as a waste of time and money other than heavy metals. This is just propaganda.
There is more garbage now than before, just look the roads how full of garbage they are, men are destroyers and are a problem to humanity, there is no humanity in men, human cells of the system are obsolete
Only one I hear is "I'm not going to make a difference since most people don't recycle."
The worlds gonna die anyway, why give a damn about the environment?
This music is so clichè
why do you keep showing footage of a power plant when this video is about recycling? WTF? XD
congratulations world, once again you industrialized and destroyed another good thing.
Funny, I was gonna click out of this video until he said "Wait, no, I swear it's gonna be interesting!" lol
Recycling is good for companies because the product is cheaper (in theory) and they can provide goods and services to more people in order to make more money.
#BlueFaceRacism !!!
Myth #1: Although I get were it's coming from, I don't think it should be seen as malicious ANYMORE. Yes, it was started as such but as #5 shows there is no denying that is actually good for the environment EVEN THOUGH as #3 shows now the malicious part of it is charging more for something that costs less.

As they might say. Back in the day, say 150-200 years ago, when they said they recycled stuff. They really did. Recycling back then didn't mean "we put the paper into this bin" " we put the food scrap rubbish into this bin" " we put our green waste into this bin" . Recycling meant, for example, once the jar that has the jam in it runs out, we wash the jar, we dry the jar and we reuse it for something else. May be more jam or for pickling foods. The same happened for wrapping paper. For clothes. For furniture. For a whole heap of stuff. But also back in the day there wasn't this wasteful thing called "built in obsolescence" .
when you have shit content 24/7 and use words like bogus, it's kinda hard to take you fucking seriously.
thank you for this
Say aluminum again. You make it sound like some alien/sci-fi thing or something. 🙂
I remember, back when I was a kid, they used to have glass bottles for sodas (small ones for single serve and larger ones for multi-use) and you could take the glass bottles back to where you got them (once you were done and they were empty) and get 5 cents back. Not sure why that stopped, other the rise of plastic.
It's business time
#5… no fucking shit
So recycling is financially viable meaning that even if as a consumer or part of society we recycle but big industries don't give a damn we are still screwed. Government could easily regulate this. Pass a law or something but unfortunately corruption exists. Big companies pay a buck and suddenly everything is fine.
Guys lets make money here, lets do sub for sub….add me and ill add

Wow a very intriguing video
I'm laughing so hard at the fact that you guys just cycled through the same 5 video clips
how did you pronounce aluminum?
You guys are wading into the deep end of the pool. This is a far more complicated matter than you're capable of covering in a short list-video in which coverage is at least specious to reckless.
recycling is the biggest con

mechanical engineer here: fun fact about recycled plastic – its a shit show.
Here's the deal: You need 'clean' plastic when making new plastic stuff, like water bottles and whatnot. Recycling requires taking existing plastic and melting it down. this makes that plastic dirty – there'll be ash, slag and other trace elements in it – this makes it shittier plastic.
you cannot mix recycled and 'clean' plastic without turning it into contaminated shitty plastic, that has poorer properties and will simply add even more contaminants into the 'cycle' if recycled.
The best thing to do, if you want nice, clean and long-lasting plastic products is to have your old plastic trash incinerated or otherwise done away with. You gain nothing by re-using plastic, unless you're happy with sub-par plastic that doesn't work as well, isn't as strong, isn't as flexible, is discolored and so on…
oh sure, if someone invents a way to completely break down plastic back into raw oil or some other kind of carbon mush, which can then be reinserted into a production pipiline on par with clean plastic raw materials, then we'll be fine and dandy.
Were having a BAN YOUTUBE day to support the AD-sensitive stuff youtube has initiated to try to make a dent in their ego , please do not watch YOUTUBE on MAY 12 — thanks..
5. Recycling was invented to reduce wartime waste of resources. Industry regulation had nothing to do with it.
What a load of rubbish.                       😉
Not recycling was good enough for my grandparents, and parents than it is good enough for me.
