  1. has there ever been a tragic hero in the gangster scene? the only one I could think of as being a tragic hero would be Bugsy Siegel, but are there any other examples?

  2. 2:34 Boardwalk Empire was one of the best shows on tv. I would have loved to have seen a spin off of the younger gangsters (Lansky,Siegel, Luciano) after it ended.

I'm STILL waiting for a movie about Griselda Blanco. I know movies like Empire and Savages had characters based on her, but I want to see a biopic about her.

  3. 1.- GODFATHER II ….. 2.- GOODFELLAS ….. 3.- SCARFACE ( Brian De Palma movie ) ……. 4.- GOODFATHER I …. AND ……
    5.- CASINO

ARE THE TOP 5 GANGSTER MOVIES OF ALL TIME !!!

  4. I don't understand why they are so worshiped. They're selfish, miserable, hypocrites, and more adjectives i don't want to mention.

  5. I certainly fall into the category of wondering why Gangster movies are so popular. I myself don't find them to be so great because of the theme.

  6. movie gangsters always die near symbols of their broken dreams.

Vito Corleone dies in his garden, Tony Montana/Carmonte dies near a sign saying THE WORLD IS YOURS, carlito brigante dies near a poster showing a beach, Ben Siegel dies watching his screen test. Stringer Bell dies in his unfinished building.
