REY: I'd rather not do this now.
BEN: …yeah, me too.
I actually wanted to Leia to die it would be easy for episode 9 but you know they kill off Luke instead.
Also, as for Snoke and Rey? I don't see why Rey should be Obi-Wan's daughter or something. Kinda makes the galaxy feel small. Snoke. We didn't learn shit about him. We also didn't learn shit about Palpatine until the Prequels, and by then, any coolness he had was gone. Snoke not being important wasn't a big deal, although I will admit that learning more about him would've been nice.
i hated that they killed off luke in this one. i felt it was just a copy and paste of what they did for han in episode 7. they should have had him captured at the end and killed him off in episode 9
I love the last scene it's something I've been waiting for since Return of the Jedi actually since Empire I knew she had powers I knew she was going to be strong and I felt the fact that I've never shown it was a miscarriage of Justice to the character. It was all so beautifully done now there a lot of people that don't like this scene and that's fine but if you're going to sit there and talk shit and call it Mary Poppins and all that I only got one thing to say to all you. you're bitches
Leia's force powers – yes. The criticism of that is frankly silly. Throne Room – yes, fantastic. Yoda – incredible. Frankly, this plus Luke's last description of his confrontation with Ben are key to really understanding TLJ. Luke's end – great. Epilogue? Mmm… maybe. Hondo's sacrifice was better.
I enjoy every star wars and the only thing that ruins them for me is all the salt. The only star wars the fanboys like is the orig trilogy (not perfect movies) so just don’t listen to them. In a couple years they will say ep 9 is the worst to keep their “Star Wars purist” fan club cards but still watch it like 5 Times at the theaters.
Leia Poppins was stupid. Where did she learn that? Luke's Jedi academy? Yoda burned down a jedi temple. It doesn't make any sense.
One thing the movie got right: Luke finally learned how to kiss his sister appropriately.
Im usually a supporter but you had to know you would get hate for praising Leia's space flight.
5 & 3 was reasons it sucked. #1 just removed every argument for why Ray can do this shit without training.
Let me preface this by saying I didn’t hate the movie as a whole but:
1. Leia’s “space walk” is, in my opinion, the single worst scene in any Star Wars film.
2. The scenes between Holdo and Poe and the payoff in terms of character growth (outside of the hyperspace jump) was the stuff of basic cable television, it was an eye rollingly cliche plot line.
3. We could have done without Canto Bight (which I will say, I know you all mentioned in the other video, but still).
Haters be hating. Fans be rejoicing!
Number 5 is trash shit looked like a marvel film
Leia was the second to worst part. Luke sucking milk from a Doctor Suess whatsadoodle was the worst.
i have no hate for this movie, it was ok at best for me. i came into this movie with an open mind and i left indifferent from episode 7.
This list is terrible. The only redeeming thing is that bomb Ass hyperspace kamikaze run. Everything else was retarded or worse
Wow. Right off the bat this list sucks. Her out of nowhere force powers was one of the biggest problems with the movie!
I am sure it has been said. But Ray is unreal and ridiculous. The strongest force users ( Anikan, Luke, and the emperor) had to learn over time how to be great. But SJW’s won this one.
When Leia survived space that was kinda stupid but I guess she is very strong with the force.
Finally, someone understood the Leia scene.
Every entry on this list belongs on the "Legitimate Gripes" list… And honestly, Luke's entire role in this film was to be a temporary diversion. Seriously, he served no other purpose in the entire movie. And he was never in any danger whatsoever. Just such a pathetic send off to his character.
Leia's force scene was one of the stupidest things in the movie. A jedi wouldn't survive in the vacuum of space so why does she?
Ugh no leia should not have been able to do that
This movie is honestly just some SJW libtarded feminist BS. There is no respect for the old characters and were getting new ones nobody wants or likes shoved into or faces. Im sure you guys at watchmojo will just loveee this movie though
Luke dying was not good
So how much Disney paid you to make this video mofos?
You should instead make a 100 things TLJ didn't got right
I only disagree with #5
I did like the throne room battle, that was very epic. I agree they needed to show Leia had powers, but I think that was the wrong way of showing it. I mean it is even stated "the cold VACUUM of space", and when the doors are opened for her directly into space she just falls in, rather than everyone inside being sucked out. Just seemed too lazy, and that scene would have been a very emotional death. Yoda showing up was nice, and as the puppet version that looks older seemed very appropriate. I think it is too soon to say for sure who the parents of Rei are, but the way things are going Ren might as well be telling the truth. All previous events don't seem to matter at all anyway as some people have noted. This could be a stand alone movie with no correlation to the others.
I don't believe it is complete shit, but I was extremely disappointed. I left the movie theater thinking "That was okay…I just paid to see a movie that was 'just okay'…and it was a Star Wars movie. What just happened?". Are movies just going down hill lately or something? Most of the movies I see seem to leave me thinking "Oh hey, that was a decent movie. But I'll never go watch it again." and "Oh look, cliche after cliche.", "I bet that person is going to die in the next scene. Hey look he died." "Does it even matter who her parents are? It would be cool if they were someone important, but it might be nice if they were someone new. And look at that it really doesn't matter at all after all.". The main "plot twists" that actually managed to throw me off guard seemed underwhelming. Like they just threw in the first idea that came up that they thought people wouldn't expect. "Everyone is Theorizing, lets just put in something random and make them all wrong just for the sake of making them wrong".
Being new and fresh is important to keep people's interest, but being "different" just for the sake of being different and disregarding whether it is actually a good idea doesn't make for a story that is very satisfying.
Killing off Luke was a good thing? ….. Uh what?
I like it still i want see next generation of skywalker i don't care if they can't be main character in sequel just made them canon please
Nothing
Yoda was easily the best part of the last Jedi
Yay, Leia has Force powers! Too bad they’ll mean nothing when she dies offscreen in IX! Yay!
I liked that we finally got to see those red guards do something
that epilogue is pushing it. I agree with the throne room fight and Yoda only. the other 3 are debatable.
5 I completely disagree. Leia being force sensitive is fine, execution is horrible.
4 The only one I agree was nice (although without fate of Ren knights explained people could assume the guards were them which would make this a terrible one).
3 Yoda was similarly mistreated as Luke. Beside the story CGI execution was also bad.
2 It was bad. It made little sense.
1 The kids from the movie ware a terrible addition, it was cringy and utilized bad child actors.
It’s funny not a single thing you said was right.
#1 nothing
2, 3: Agree. 1, 5: Acceptable. 4: Hell No.
