Trey's shooting in the Season 2 finale of "The O.C." is a "jump the shark" moment? That was one of the best season finales ever. Season 3 was where things went downhill.
I never gotten that. I never understood why people hated when Fonz jumped the shark. I thought it was boring.
Supernatural LITERALLY had an episode titled "Jump the Shark" in which Sam and Dean find out that they have a brother (who subsequently gets banished to hell and is basically never mentioned again). How did THAT not make the list?!?!
Just got an ad for the new Iphone…. oh the irony
Dukes of Hazzard: Coy & Vance Duke.
Who jumped me
Also, I know another show that jumped the shark: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, in the finale of season five: The Cutie Re-Mark, Parts 1-2. After that it's all turned to a load of shit.
Game of Thrones.
We should add the NFL.
Add "Blue Bloods" to this after killing off Linda off camera in between seasons. I hope Linda isn't in the shower and discovered by Danny that this is a dream season.
NO ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT?!

The latter years
The irony of Jumping the Shark is it’s a fatuous, stupid phrase thought up by the kids of the baby boomer generation.
In Happy Days the opening of Season 5 with the OTT story was halfway through the shows run. The shows ratings didn’t suffer and it carried on not only being a big hit but grew in popularity.
Now for me the only really lame idea – and you don’t even mention it: Scrappy Doo even kids hated him.
PS Lost never jumped the Shark. It was always stupid from the start and everyone watching it was waiting it to go all ‘Roxanne’ or ‘Dallas’ or The X-Files.
Silicon Valley jumped the shark when TJ Miller left
Supernatural literally has an episode entitled "Jump The Shark"???

What about the Simpsons when Frank Grimes was introduced, killed same epidode, several seasons later when we learn he has a son? Didn't The Simpsons jump the shark doing that
