NO surprise, Seinfeld was racist af.
The "Abortion episode" of Maude was heartbreaking enough. They couldn't just written the episode to Walter and Maude having the baby and just giving it up for adoption to some random couple who wanted it?
Adoption hurts far less than Abortion
Musical songs song my kids.
13 Reasons Why though?? Episodes 7, 11 and 12 were seriously fucked up.
Oh yeah because gay people never die. They're just being ridiculous. Eyeroll.
Excuse me. The Married with Children episode had nothing to do with network censorship. Some crazy lady hated the episode and started a campaign that got big enough to make the network concede.
LOL @Puerto Rican Day episode! Not like it's far from how they act in real life…
Puerto Rican here ! In my opinion the episode is fucking hilarious
I don't see how Adam's death is controversial other than killing off a beloved LGBT+ character. I mean, Adam's character was very important and represented teens out there like him. But in my personal opinion, Degrassi has way more controversial episodes for it being a teen drama. For example, in season 3, Manny finds out she's pregnant with Craig's baby and decides to have an abortion. The N refused to air those two episodes in the US for a few years up until the premiere of season 6. Or even the most iconic Degrassi episode ever, Time Stands Still. I would have chose those two over Adam's death.
You want to be treated equal but also want it to be taboo to kill off a gay or trans person ?? Hmm
Be honest… you came here just to see if Home was number one.
lexa's death was controversial?
SPOILERS
i can see why but it genuinely would have had to happen eventually to push the nightblood story arc forward (finding luna and all that jazz) – to me the death that kinda made no sense was wells although i get that this is what pushes bellamy and clarke to work together. to me jaspers death was the hardest to deal with but i know that it had to happen-it made sense. favorite characters sometimes die – like irl, no one lives forever.
LOL "one of the few gay characters in the 100" wtf every second character is gay in that show
I'm surprised the episode where the stripper is killed at Bada Bing in The Sopranos isn't on this list. From my understanding, a lot of people cancelled their HBO subscriptions over that one.
takashi miike's Imprint deserve a position.
Yeah, because gay characters shouldn't die. Just like how they don't die in real life. Gays don't die like other people, right?
I took a shower after the "Home" episode on "The X-Files".
Not even mentioning Spartacus? sigh
I don't understand why killing off characters who "represent" the LGBTQ community is any different than the characters who do not. That's what real equality looks like. Just because your sexual preference differs from the populous doesn't make you invincible or invulnerable. I don't get society today. Many of the most popular shows depict rape, incest, murder etc as a standard. Then these atrocities are committed in real life and we say how sad. But when a teen shoots up a school or a public function, we blame videogames? Haha, we worship these shows and characters to the point where we don't know the difference between reality and fiction.
nice
AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!
Does anyone remember that episode of Summer Heights High where Mr G put on the play about Ecstasy
i think the Seinfeld finale was fitting. those band of jew fucks were always doing petty dick moves on the show
RRRRRAMONES!!!!
Wasn't there an episode of beloved sitcom "Family Matters" that dealt with brutal racism directly including one of the Winslow children having their locked vandalized with the n word spray painted? If that isn't controversial, then what is.
