MatchMojo makes high school sound like a drama film. At least mine is nothing like that
Problems: 10) God forbid the teacher does his/her job. 9) Maybe this is just my experience, but cliques didn't exist in a hierarchical fashion. Oh sure, people had a tendency to hand out with their friends, but that didn't mean that there was a hierarchy, friend groups mixed all the time. 8) Maybe just my experience, but, almost all of the pranks in my school life were totally victim free, and most of them actually happened in middle school. 7) High school is not really relevant here. this just happens to take place at the same and it is not really a problem with high school, but rather the body undergoing these changes. If these changes happened earlier, would we call it a problem with middle school? 5) Gossip happens anywhere that there is a somewhat tightly knit group of people. As far as the idea of 'cool' goes, in my high school experience, no one really cared about conforming to another person's definition of cool. We all grew out of it after middle school and so we got to high school and didn't care. 4) I assumed that this either didn't exist anymore, or that it never did in the first place and Hollywood just made it up. Throughout my entire school life, the teacher picked the teams, never the students. 3) this is actually more common in college as you have teachers who want to cram political agendas down their students' throats and hate dissenting views. Also, you try managing a room full of obnoxious kids, many of whom don't want to be there, and let's see how chipper you are. This is why I could never be a teacher. 2) 8 hours of class? What school did you go to? Also, the point of school is to learn. Remember? Honorable mentions: Presentation skills are extremely valuable, especially when looking for a job or going into a job interview where you are judged based on how you present yourself. Detention is needed because you need some form of disciplinary action for kids who break the rules, and you can't smack bad kids anymore. 1) same can be said about any community. But let me make this clear. I'm sure that this is a problem across the country, personally, in my school system, we all grew out of that in middle school. Oh sure, I was on the bad end of bullying, and I made some less than kind remarks about people behind their backs (two of who I would later become friends with), but by the time I reached high school, people just didn't seem interested in bullying, and here is why: Making someone's life miserable just isn't worth the effort it would take to create ways to emotionally hurt them, and with how strict our school system was on fighting, physical abuse was almost completely non existent. We judged anyone who did stoop to that level as stupid, because, again, why put in the effort when the result would be a lot of discipline that could severely put your future at risk with suspensions? But I do have to disagree with the idea that bullies always get what is coming to them. if they play their cards right, then those jerks today might become assertive and successful people later on.
Two that I think you missed, and these would be my top 2:
2) No one listens to you. By the time you reach high school, you are old enough to question authority and the decisions that the faculty makes, such as the question as to why backpacks have to stay in lockers and you can't bring them to class with you. A silly example, but let's roll with it. Let's say that literally, LITERALLY, every single student at a school signs a petition to allow backpacks in classrooms. there is still no chance that any school board will every consider that petition. They will nod and pretend to listen while they dismiss the whole issue from their minds. In high school you're old enough to ask questions, but young enough to ignore.
1) Group punishment. Let's say that someone vandalizes school property overnight, and the school can't determine who is responsible. Well of course now they have to punish everyone. At least that means that they'll be punishing the person who committed the crime. As for the rest of the students…who cares? This was very common in my high school years.
YOU FEATURED BOYINABAND also good vid
THE PACER RUN
i dont have the evening off, wednesday is the day i actually can spend my evening off
that moment when you see a kid getting bullied and he replies
"i'll see y'all at school tomorrow" but he doesn't go to your school
When naughty students do something that a good student does all the time and gets complimented, but the good student gets no compliments
You can bring your own lunch to school ,ya' know. -_-
High School is not the best time of my life. What I can say for it is "meh" -_-
Im in seventh grade, so im pretty far from highschool, its over a year later for me so woohooo
THE LOCKER ROOMS
NEVER AGAIN
Can I just have Bill Wurtz as my only teacher? Please?
Also:
– Teachers that pick favourites
– Asshole kids getting more recognition than the good ones simply for not disrupting the class one time
– Not having any friends or a social life
– Those little twats in the lower years that yell insults at you because they know they can get away with it
– Working really hard on an assessment only to have the teacher completely forget about it
– Art class. The kids that aren't into art hate it because they don't care, and the kids that ARE into art hate it because they aren't being challenged enough.
sup fukas
I love that on game stuff a man is talking and on real life a girl is talking
Am I the only one that didn't face the problems? Save puberty and bad teachers
Why isn't this called most annoying things in school cuz it's not just high school
Last year I had a highly sexist sewing teacher. Sewing class was mandatory for my grade. My teacher, let's call her Ms. S. She was an older woman probably around retirement age. Majority of the sewing machines in the sewing room were highly outdated, and broken; probably older than my parents. And nobody did anything about it. Unfortunately I was assigned an old, roughly 40+ year old sewing machine that always jammed. I asked for help so many fucking times, sometimes I had my hand up for 30+ minutes. The teacher would never help me. She would only be helping female students. And the rare occasion she did help me she would give me some vague help and walk away. All of the males of the class were saying the same thing, how she never helped them. One of my friends machines broke down, Ms. S never helped. But a females machine broke down she actually helped. She also treated all the females like angels and all the males like shit. She always had a very rude attitude towards the males. Pretty much all of the males got terrible grades for no reason, I failed the course. This year when I had to redo the course, I did it with a different, more helpful teacher and better machine. I passed the course in a heartbeat.
I agree with the list
No. 1 should be the fact that high school exists.
When everyone is separated into cliques because of their differences and don't know how to get along with others because some think they are better than everyone and all this bullshit! fuck high school, I'm glad i graduated! everyone at college is so much better and are united as a community
i'am lonely+no frieds+i got bullyed every day
I hate when you're raising your hand along with a few other kids raising their hands but you have one of those teachers that always calls on someone who isn't raising their hand or the other way around when you see like four or five kids raising their hand and the Teacher Calls on you and you are not raising your hand I mean obviously the kids that are not raising their hand don't know the answer or don't care okay stop trying to humiliate them and stop irritating the kids that raise their hand okay clearly five kids raising their hand that know the answer so pick one of them
laughing is how we know all three versions of the movie Carrie and the book Carrie are fiction because in real life if someone poured Pig's blood on anybody during the prom especially the prom queen even if you was elected by a prank nobody would laugh at that at all in fact I'm pretty sure everybody at the prom would be petrified they would be standing there horrified of what just happened and I'm pretty sure that person responsible for this so-called prank gone too far obviously will be arrested and sent to prison
okay that one I have to agree with I am not specifically a tuba player but still the sousaphone kicks ass
how about things we should get correct in the movies I remember watching a bunch of my school movies and they always have a bunch of stuff at that high school that real high schools can't even afford like the movie 10 Things I Hate About You that's cool have f**** archery equipment and they set up an archery range on the football field and they literally had a coffee cart strolling around the hallway I mean what the f*** is that I've never seen that at school
that clip from the movie Carrie with the girl saying Billy Nolan is not a clip of a bad teacher it's a clip of a pissed-off teacher at a student who's a bully and knows that that student is a bully
Bullies Believe It or Not teachers and other staff will not help you with bullies in school case and point I got my PSP stolen in class and I knew exactly who stole it pointed him out to the teacher and the teacher did nothing and then that kid asks to go to the bathroom and stood up to take his backpack with him I looked at the teacher and yelled "do not let him take his backpack out of class by the f*** does he need his backpack in the f**** bathroom you stole my s*** he's going to put it in his locker and if you check his backpack I think that you're not going to find anything because he already put it in his locker and you allow them to" yeah I yelled back to my teacher I'm at lunch I went to the principal office and told him what happened and what did he do he waited till the very next day to check that kids locker and when he came and told me about it he said "I'm sorry we didn't find anything" and I looked at him in the eye and said " that's because you stole it yesterday when I came to talk to you and you waited for him to take it home before you check his locker so obviously you're not going to find anything" yeah I have some really negligent teachers and staff at the schools that I went to when I was young
I always get 7 hours of school
I am 3 months away from high school
I consider myself lucky because I went to the one of the top middle school in the state that I'm in and now going to a state champions high school.
the state is oregon
who has homework??
One time one of my teachers kept my class back. Then in my next class l got detention for being late.
Combine "Rude Teachers" with "Bullying" and you get my world….hell. I've been called fat 3 times by my teachers, and I've been called lazy twice. And I've been humiliated or pushed over my teachers many, many, times. I tried reporting it, but the school said they can't do anything. A kid recorded what one of my teachers said to a student, sent it into the office, and they threatened to arrest the kid because it was "illegal"…go CCI!
