No Miracle on Ice? The 1980 Hockey game between the US and Soviet Union?
What about Michael Phelps getting 8 medals in 2008 at the Beijing Olympics
What about the Australians winning the gold in speed skating (I forget what year)
Miracle On Ice
The most inspirational Canadian Olympic moment in my lifetime was the "double gold" in men's and women's hockey in the 2002 games. I was there when it happened.
I thought that there was 4 of them in the Bobsled team? atleast in the movie there were
Have you heard about this cool guy named Micheal Phelps. He’s done some cool stuff two.
Picture videos! Videos made of pictures! You show pictures like a grandma in 1918 but on youtube in 2018. Awesome!
All very inspirational but how can you mention Eddie the Eagle and not even give him an honourable mention? At the very least it should've been a joint placing between Jamaican bobsled team and Eddie because their circumstances and resilience were very similar, they even both have a Hollywood movie.
New number 1: Chloe Kim winning gold in snowboarding.
Really? No mention of Joannie Rochette?
Those close up pictures they used were not of Jessie Owens.
Ya really inspirational
No Muhammad Ali lighting the torch?
Kurt Angle won a gold medal with a Broken freakin neck once. Not sure why that's ever mentioned again.
Screw off on Korea's unification flag, it's a ploy by Kim Jong Un and means nothing
Mao Asada at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics after being the reigning Olympic medalist and completely botching her short program, she nailed her free and brought the entire arena to their feet.
Joannie Roachette winning bronze days after her mother’s death?
Why no videos?
I know this is North American (Canada based) but Nadia Comaneci deserves higher, she is an eternal icon of the games: in 2016, 40 years after the perfect ten, she was celebrated by media and many articles were posted as a tribute, this is proof of how important she is. Abebe Bikila as JUST a honorable mention (barefoot, running in Italy), come on! he is top 10. What about Cathy Freeman? important from many different points of view.
Surprised that Johannie Rochette's performance After the passing of her mom wasn't mentioned
How is Michael Phelps not in here at #1 or anywhere
No Elvis Stojko figure skating his way to a Silver medal in Nagano despite a badly pulled groin?
#9 should be way higher.
Where is Steve Bradbury?
Soviet basketball team winning a USA team in the last 3 second of the game at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich? No, let's better show how USSR team loses to US in a hockey match. I can smell politics here
This video should be changed to "Top 10 American Moments From The Olympics", the majority of this momets weren't inspirational at all.
Where is Cathy Freeman?!
I feel like the miracle on ice should have been higher
No Michael Phelps???
Jamaica we got a bobsled team! #coolrunnings
Top ten dominate Olympic performances… #dreamteam
You could make a top 100 version of this video and still miss some moments.
lol that nazis thought they could run faster than black people
Dislike
Hold up Jesse Owens wasn't hated by the Germans during the 1936 Berlin Olympics, In fact quite the contrary he was pretty much liked and they chanted "YESSEH OVENS!" when he won and Hitler didn't snubbed him. The reason why Hitler didn't meet up with him was because he (Hitler) had prior arrangements on that day.
P.S I am not defending Nazi Germany or Hitler but I am just stating what was fact
Where's Kurt Angle at? He won a gold medal WITH A BROKEN FRIGGIN' NECK! Where's that at?
Not Eddie the eagle??
Micheal phelps > Usain bolt
Fiji Sevens team… better be on this list…
Simon Ammann???
Billy mills in the 1964 games won the 10,000 meters as a unknown and first in the western hemisphere. Jim Thorpe the greats athlete being only person to do all 15events in the penthalon and decathlon.1912 and he did it with shoes he found in the trash can because someone stole his.
Michael Phelps winning 8 Medals in 2008, Kurt Angle winning with a broken neck. wtf
Mentioning Peter Norman, the white Australian guy on the podium with Smith and Carlos, would have been nice. He very much supported their cause and even suggested that they should wear one glove each because they only brought one pair. He also faced sanctions and ridicule when he returned for supporting them.
