This is cool but it’s a shame it’s just for kids…These are the games that are usually E for Everyone or T for Teen – kid friendly, PG 13 style content, but which have huge potential for a mature deviation. They could add more violence, more sex, more drugs – anything that would free them from the shackles of their kid friendly roots and cement them as games that your mother wouldn’t approve of. Welcome to and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Games We Want To See A Mature Version Of.

I think this episode was worded terribly. A more mature monster hunter would be more rpg esc with story that's a lot more driven (I had hunters United and it wasn't super story related) like specific hunts had actual people show up like a broken caravan where they can give tips similar to the witcher. I like the idea of a bit more dismemberment, but NOT and all out limb and gore fear. Finally make it so ma cats can go out and get some drinks with his friends they really need it with the shit we put them through (this final bit is a joke just encase no one gets it)
Tidus made Final Fantasy terrible
I did not play the newer Zeldas, but I played the ones on N64. I liked Majora's Mask much better because it was so dark and also because it was mysterious. Ocarina of Time, on the other hand, always seemed like a game only made for kids. Therefore, I would agree that Zelda should be more serious.
I have to disagree on Soul Calibur, though. That game is serious enough and dismembering enemies just wouldn't fit in the game. Dismembering is for Mortal Combat which I don't think is too serious anyway.
Batman Arkham series
I feel like this list was missing the point of "Making Franchises More Mature." Gruesome death, gratuitous sex, and emotional anguish don't necessarily make a good story, game, or look right. I can understand making a game like Soul Calibur more violent and sexy, but honestly that only because it already leans in that direction. Games like Pokemon however, are really at there core about competition, not narrative, and certainly not over the top sex and violence. This Video made great points about Metroid (My 3rd favorite franchise) but really missed the mark with others. I propose a Mature version of Megaman X (only X). It would contain more human violence to raise the stakes of a robot revolution, and introduce more complex themes of life and man playing god by creating life and it's implications, sort of like Ghost in the Shell or Frankenstein.
A kind of mature Legend of Zelda might seem kinda interesting, and I say that as a big fan of the series
this is a bs post that is trying too hard for likes and clicks.
Sone of these games are "mature". Just because it doesn't have blood in it doesn't mean it is not "adult enough"
Pokemon is great the way it is! :3
Don't get me wrong I love dark story driven games but sometimes you just want to play a simple fun game
MM is way darker than all other Zelda games
FF 4 is the darkest game in the series and is serious instead of well flat like the others
come on SC series is mature enough with the female costumes… do we really care for anymore when we can watch a nearly naked Ivy Valentine literally bounce around the battlefield?
My 10:
10. Metroid
9. A Rouge the Bat Spin-Off of Sonic the Hedgehog
8. Star Trek (The pitch for an M rated edition: Voyager: As Seen on SF Debris. You get to play as Chuck Sonnenburg's Janeway in a maelstrom of bloody mad science and Shoulder Spider hallucinations. Yeah. I know Paramount would never approve that, but that would be the way to do it.)
7. Spider-Man (Missed opportunity: Web of Shadows. You're making a game entirely about Peter Parker fighting against a Symbiote and you're not embracing the gory possibilities? Not cool, game. Not cool. If there was a time to go M-rated, that was it.)
6. Warcraft (Man, those pictures did look cool, and justify the thought process.)
5. Mother Franchise (Yes, this would somewhat resemble the modern Persona franchise, but not entirely.)
4. Final Fantasy Series (Yeah, gotta hand it to you. I could absolutely imagine how an M rated mainline Final Fantasy entry could RULE.)
3. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (There WAS a game of this before, the show got up to some unusually sick stuff, and I could absolutely imagine Maxwell Atoms working with a studio and going even crazier with an M rated video game, and the result not going all Adult Party Cartoon on us. Nobody wants that, right?)
2. Jet Grind Radio
Honourable Mentions:
Monster Hunter
Pokemon
The Legend of Zelda Series
Soul Series
The Sims
Fire Emblem (Most of these would take away as much or more appeal than what they'd add.)
1. Tomb Raider, Sexy M (Seriously, when people were pining for an M rated Tomb Raider, they were pining for something that ramped up the sexualization, not an injection of blood and guts. Seriously, Tomb Raider 2013 is the ultimate bait and switch. Since we still don't, and probably won't, ever get that, I'd still say this is an M rated game we actually don't have.)
We all need a mature pokemon game.
I agree with a matured Soul Calibur, that would be dope.
I want to see a dark version of paw patrol
Another one please
i wanna see a mature version of pvz gw
I won't lie, I would like a mature version of Trollface Quest
I only want Pokémon to have a little violence, a darker or a new plot of the game and "pure" anime designs which I wished for a long time! And also, I imagine Pokémon as an action RPG game like the Legend of Zelda
Hell no to M rated Monster Hunter. I like the fact that despite its dark premise ,Monster Hunter is lighthearted fun.
Adding more gore for no reason is making a game less mature……..
I finally discovered wut I didn't like about breath of the wild Zelda's appearance, her eyebrows r too thick. anyone else agree?
top ten one-piece battles
arcuse the edgelord
oo oo I know the metroide mature version.I think it's called "halo"
This list is just all wrong! lol
Pokémon?? really?? they do realize its a franchise in a different universe right? I cant believe they still bitching about Pokemon
That thumbnail
lol 'love scenes" on the 3DS that is a funny thought
What the fuck is pokemon doing here? Is watchmojo high on weed again?
M in Nintendo, lol, that just a E a on the ground pushing it self up right
Dont turn Soul Caliber into mortal combat I like the fact I smash people to pieces with nightmare without actually doing it
Actually, I do want a darker Pokemon game!
A game in which after a Pokemon has fainted, it's actually dead! That would make it so much more challenging!
And we can call it…Pokémon Nuzlocke Version!
And yes, I totally just came up with that 🙂
I want an adult version of……um…. fuck it Dora adventure
bully 2 College Years
seriously?…. one of the times when you actually put fire emblem on the list, and you dont have footage for awakening, fates or shadows of Valentia…. I am extremely disappointed
No. Monster Hunter is perfect the way it is. Keep it campy and fun. That's how it's supposed to be.
The Legend of Zelda: Redlight Princess
Pocket Monsters started in 1996.
Pokémon is not meant for m ratings it's such a fucking stupid idea
I thought metroid was m rated
Here's my top 10:
10. Need For Speed
9. Horizon Zero Dawn
8. Starhawk
7. Destiny
6. Star Wars The Old Republic/Knights Of The Old Republic
5. Overwatch
4. Armored Core
3. Uncharted
2. Battleborn
1. Star Wars Battlefront
Play a few of these games and see if they're mature enough for ya!

I like pokemon the way it is but I do think a more mature version would also be fun
