I'm a simple man, I see Princess Mononoke I click
I strongly agree with #1!
Do Indonesian
People should definitely seek out Onibaba. It's creepy as fuck.
I know diffrent kaguya 😀
Where is Kibakichi? And Godzilla is a kaiju not a yokai,
idiots.
I'm honestly not sure why, but I think Japanese mythology (which, to be totally fair, is often a variation of Chinese mythology, where all major East Asian mythology is from) is friggin' awesome. I study this stuff for fun in books separately from anime (I haven't seen most of these, to be honest), and I really can't explain what it is, but…Something makes it awesome. I still like Greek mythology the most, but for real East Asian is a close second.
Princess mononoke is not anime
hayao miyazaki isn't the best anime director of all time. he's the best ANIMATOR of all time.
If the thumbnail wasn't an anime, I would have totally not watched the video.
I find number 8 on this list to be the most touching on this list. I think number 3 is one of the more interesting but I love Princess Mononoke and will always find it a thrilling and dramatic movie to watch. Just thinking of it brings tears of happiness.
I found this interesting because I am majoring in media to work on a really cute game or animation series I was planning for 7 years just recently in debate of being based around yokai and Japanese mythology. The main character is a little kitsune named Avril who can be seen as my profile icon who is being renamed. And she has a little hibiscus flexible metal leaf sword with the unforgivable sting of gympie gympie. And she's only 1 ft or 2 tall
I think Studio Ghibli's Pom Poko should have had some mention.
Was that Lazy Masquerade the YouTuber lol?
AKIRA
Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away! I haven't even watched the video yet and just want to point that out.
