u dont know shit sirÂ
Even though I'm a Canadian who hasn't seen it yet cause it comes out this Thursday, I give it a LOT more than a 6 out of 10!
I don't get why everyone is complaining about too many villains. the film basically had electro center stage and introducing green goblin for later use. rhino was just a post-credit teaser that happened to show before instead of after the credits.
TAS 1 was pretty weak, imho. I greatly enjoyed TAS 2, though.
6/10 is totally fair. Â I gave it a 3/5. . . so do the math. . . same difference lol. Â It was far too convoluted for any plotlines to really grow. expand, flourish, and/or breathe naturally. Â In fact if you remember, there was even a line Peter had where he said to Gwen at the Oxford University NY office "I don't know what to do Harry wants my blood even though it may make him a monster, my parents were total liars this entire time, your going to England, it's all too much!" Indeed Peter, I believe you hit the nail on the head. Â I loved Peter and Gwen's storyline and I also even liked Harry's storyline about struggling against his disease. Â Electro's storyline was very so so. Â If the movie hadn't been so ambitious and cut back a bit on all the craziness and had been more focused on the parts that were really good, we could have been dealing with a great film here. But it was just all too much. Â So regrettably, a 6/10 is about right.
It's overcrowded because it MUST be overcrowded…
I disagree so much!!!! I give it a 9 out of 10…but I'm also a Spider-Man fanatic. So others might think differently.
Are you kidding me? I can see your points about why you gave this money a low score, but how can you say the last film was "whole". The last movie was one of the laziest, most rushed, underwhelming flick to come out in the past decade.
what ? I give it a 8.5/10 .I didnt liked first TASM but loved this one .
To be perfectly honest, I gave this film a strong 6, weak 7. Main flaws; I didn't think they commemorated Gwen's death effectively. It felt as though it was the same kind of commemoration as seen for Captain Stacey.
Next point; It really did feel as though it were just a prequel to a Sinister 6 film. Also, I was disappointed that Electro and The Green Goblin didn't work together to defeat Spider-Man, as was falsely advertised.
Last point; I didn't feel as though they had properly shown how badly it affected Spidey/Peter. I mean yeah, they cycled through seasons but it felt bland. I wanted to see what New York had gone through without him to save them. That was one of the most crucial things that I wish I could have seen. Overall, a decent movie but could have been better.
6 out of 10 sounds about right honestly. Not bad, not great but still could be entertaining. I'll be waiting til it's on DVD/Blu-ray.
6 outta 10… wow, that really disappoints me
I honestly thought that even Spider-Man 3 was better than this film. It was such a disappointment. But considering mindless movies like Transformers and Man of Steel gets so much love from the ADHD generation, I suspect that these same "fanboys" will love this as well. It's like watching cinema devolve before my very eyes.
I don't know if i could give the first movie a 5/10 so this sounds about right to me.
Does anyone have a different opinion? I feel like every review is almost the exact same wording. "Too much going on". Which may be true, I haven't seen it yet. But I would like to hear from someone who thinks differently, who got a completely different taste from it. It sucks to hear everyone say that it taste like chicken. (Wow, that analogy got weird)
I think this movie could have properly developed all of the story and characters they had, but they decided to mess around and be too over the top and on the nose instead of actually writing characters and developing story.
If you don't go into this movie expecting it to be a first part in a larger story then that's your fault. Sure you have some people who would say "NO! every single movie has to stand on its own…you can't just use movies to set up other movies like TV does with episodes"
BUT actually you DO have every right to do that with a film…think about it. Some stories are just too big to be told in a single movie and since we can't expect audiences to sit through a four to five hour film we have to expect this sometimes especially nowadays with what Marvel has done.
I've known since they announced the inclusion of so many characters and plotlines that this movie was only going to be the first of many and that a lot was going to be introduced and a lot was NOT going to get wrapped up. I'm sure the movie will let me down in some ways, but I can also be sure that I will be going in knowing that a lot of questions will be raised and a lot will not be answered this time around…and I'm okay with that.
Marc Webb didn't compose the score! Hans Zimmer did.
People are so mixed on this. Those who like more action get what they want, but those who want more story don't get enough. I say Rhino could have been taken out, and give us more story.
Wow, I couldn't agree less. I feel like often reviewers don't put enough weight to the fun and entertainment side of movies. I mean that's why we watch a Spider-Man movie right?
It's not a perfect movie, there aren't many of those, but no-one gave Inglorious Basterds crap for introducing too many characters. It seems so many reviewers just go with the review flow. Was it perfect? No. Was I entertained? Heck yes!Â
Meh, that's my two cents any way.
I agree with a 6, it was ok but it felt rushed…
I love how many ppl are giving thumbs down on EVERY review of TASM 2 that points out ANY bad things that are in the movie. Face it, film was medicore and terrible – storywise, characterwise, cgi and vilains +their designs.Â
Guys, if you're a spider man fan you know about the sinister six. Which contains 6 villains to destroy spiderman. OF COUSE it's alot, do you think the directors and producers didn't know that? They're following the comics. Get the perspective that there's alot of villains on purpose. Because it's suppose to make this Teen, Peter Parker almost doubt how he can do this. The fall of the hero if you may. All in all the movie was great, in my opinion. It had the right criteria for the sinister six.
Too many villains? Wtf is he on…there were 2 villains. Rhino wasn't at all in the movie except for the very very very end. The beginning was nun. Too many storylines? Harry's Peter/Gwen's and Electro's
I disagree , TASM2 is the best one yet !Â
Worst Spider Man film to date. You could argue that 3 was worse, especially since Venom is my favorite Spider Man villain, but it did many more things right than this film did. I completely agree with this review.
What is wrong with this guy?? The movie is amazing itself the fight and the fight scenes are superb badass Its not a perfect movie though we know.. but it gives you chills on your spines when you watch this sequel
