I can't wait for the DLC to blow this video out of the water.
bighit and nintendo should collab since they both like planning stuff SINCE THE BEGINNING
5:25 Rare fact the water was not the right type of water for the zora to live in so the evolved into the reito its like putting a fresh water fish in to salt water, it ain't surviving long (feel free to correct me if i got the names wrong)
Even if it is not yellow enough, its still a stripe and thats all we need.
Green, light green to be more exact. Not yellow. Also you neglected to mention how their is 10,000 in between the story in the game, and the game itself. That is longer than the recorded human existence! a lot can happen.
I still being Time unification team, but that's a great theory.
"Yellow"
Whup!
Slap!
I have the Wii U breath of the wild
I came to the same conclusion based on the land. There is one other theory that could be even more possible. Somehow the timelines all converge. Aside from that I think this one made the most sense.
I took the cap into photoshop to see it's exact color. It's 4e5329 on the color spectrum, just below yellow, close to green.
John Titor is the name used on several bulletin boards during 2000 and 2001 by a poster claiming to be a military time traveler from 2036. I am legit impressed by Matpat's dedication.
It's not just the yellow stripe though. There are so many shared details between the fallen hero timeline games
I'm surprised you focused on Link having a yellow stripe in his hat, where the same timeline is the only one where he wears a brown long sleeve shirt under his green tunic
About time. The game has been out for 6 months and finally a theory!!!
It creates its own timeline.
I like to believe that breath of the wild reconnects all of the three timelines as there is evidence for it to be in all of them.
" Oh no he's got a yellow STRAP…" I think he means stripe.
also… twilight may also refer to the dark world from A link to the past or link between worlds, Termina and the Majora's Mask or the Fall of Hyrule in Wind Waker and the search for a new place to be.
The fact that Ganondorf is posessed, reincarnated or infused with a fragment of Demise and was sealed in his Gerudo form in the other two timelines could mean that Ganon AKA Demise's fragment has to manifest by itsef, cue BotW, or it's the game that once again merges or happens across all continuities and it's the end of the line, with Link and Zelda finally defeating the Curse of Demise.
For the Twilight Princess thing the mirror of twilight is in breath of the wild
I mean, depending on the location of Spectacle Rock in Link to the Past, we actually do see a candidate for Spectacle Rock within the adult era timeline. We have Outset Island. It's not a direct parallel, due to the rockbridge being a wood one instead, but it's a fairly close candidate indeed.
Woah! Biggest twist since the FNAF grandfather clock!
I feel that all the references in the game it should just fix all three timelines and merge them into one why can’t they just do hay make it easier pls
Let's get going, Patrick. You know the drill.
1. The description given for rock salt is literally how any salt gets anywhere.
2. Sea Zora are incredibly sensitive to shifts in water quality. Murky and unclean water poses a threat to an entire Zora population in both Majora's Mask and Oracle of Ages. The Great Sea is too warm and salt-saturated to support most life, and would certainly not work out well for a population adapted to the cold, clean waters of Zora's River.
3. The relief in castle town was added in the HD remake and didn't exist before Breath of the Wild was in development.
4. WHY DID YOU PUT A MAP OF TERMINA IN WITH THE HYRULE MAPS. IT'S A DIFFERENT LOCATION. IT DOESN'T HELP YOUR POINT.
5. The geography in ALTTP and OOT Hyrule are actually incredibly similar if you rotate OOT's Map a bit.
6. Spectacle Rock is also in Ocarina of Time, and appears as an island in Wind Waker. Also, it's usually located on Death Mountain, not Gerudo Desert. Its appearance proves nothing.
7. Yeah. It's the yellow hat brim that means everything. Not the short sleeves, lack of gauntlets, brown undershirt and various stages of legware. There's more to the classic tunic than just the hat, dude.
8. Also, the Tunic is pretty flimsy evidence anyway. OoT Link is depected wearing the Toon Tunic in Wind Waker, not to mention the Toon Tunic appearing in Minish Cap and Four Swords (Unified Timeline), Four Swords Adventures (Child Timeline) and TriForce Heroes (Downfall Timeline). It's really just a reference to how Zelda went beck to its NES roots for Breath of the Wild.
Overall, not a terrible video (thankfully.) However, you rely far too much on circumstantial evidence and putting a bunch of weight in what are ordinary callbacks. It's better than your Metroid videos, but that's not particularly difficult to pull off. B+
These are the theories I can get behind! Wish I could give you more thumbs up for this one! And the conclusion makes alot of sense, as I thought this took place after Twilight Princess, but you have now made me a believer of this theory!
Make CDI cannon so we can have more confusion and revive an out of print game.

What about the names of the geography, the Divine Beasts, etc. that span every timeline? Can we just say that this is just the "Zelda Ultimatum Timeline?"
I love the scream guy throughout the video. lol
what about the time line in link triforce hero's?
This whole theory gets blown out of the water by the Zora reliefs which specifically mention Princess Ruto's involvement in the defeat of Ganondorf in Ocarina.
but how is this all going to end like is Nintendo going to do a three way coop game to finish them off or just split them all futher
youtube sucks. every video is 10 miniets, every mobile view has 3 ads per video, and waists my whole day…
also its more focused on higher quality content then the independent, "oh i have a channel, may as well use widows movie maker".
all i know is theres no going back.
Did anyone else not understand a single thing he said because they never played the franchise?
I've waited such a long time for this theory, and I have to admit that it was slightly disappointing. MatPat completely ignored the reasons why Breath of the Wild can't be in the Downfall Timeline.
The two most notable ones are the Gerudo and the Gorons. Throughout the entirety of the Downfall Timeline, the Gorons and Gerudo don't show up in Hyrule once. And yet somehow in BotW, both the Gerudo and Gorons are alive and well. A civilization doesn't just suddenly disappear, and then reappear after hundreds of thousands of years with no explanation. And it's not like the BotW Gerudo and Gorons aren't descendants of their OoT counterparts. The names of their Divine Beasts (Vah Naboris and Vah Rudania) are spins on the names of their respective Sages from OoT (Nabooru and Darunia.) Also, MatPat himself mentioned that we don't see Ganon's physical form anywhere in the Downfall Timeline. And yet in BotW, the Gerudo Champion Urbosa mentions that the Gerudo are aware that Calamity Ganon has taken on the form of a male Gerudo (Ganondorf) in the past. How would the Gerudo know about a character who hasn't been seen for such a long time? Ganondorf shows up three times in the Child Timeline, as opposed to the zero times he appears in the Downfall Timeline.
MatPat also mentioned that Calamity Ganon has assumed his pure enraged form because he has given up on reincarnation, and goes on to say that that points to the Downfall Timeline. However, he forgot to mention the fact that Ganon isn't the one being reincarnated. Ganondorf/Ganon is a result of the curse of Demise, which resulted in the spirit of Demise being reincarnated as Ganondorf. That's what Calamity Ganon is: the true form of Demise's spirit and hatred. So back to what MatPat said. We only see Demise get reincarnated once in the Downfall Timeline, through OoT Ganondorf. The Ganon we see in all of the Downfall Timeline games is the same guy from OoT. He's been killed and resurrected many times, but resurrection is not the same thing as reincarnation. One the other hand, we've seen Demise reincarnated twice on the Child Timeline, through OoT Ganondorf, and Four Sword Adventures Ganondorf. Being reincarnated twice definitely isn't a lot, but I doubt Demise would give up on reincarnation after only one attempt. While there could be more reincatreincarnations of Demise that we don't know about on both timelines, the fact is that the whole "giving up one reincarnation" thing doesn't strengthen the Downfall Timeline argument.
And for the record, Links cap in BotW doesn't have a yellow band. It's just a different shade of green. Regardless, the video was still enjoyable, and I'm glad you finally made it. Also, I really think the whole Breath of the Wild timeline issue deserves more than fifteen minutes. There are a lot of good arguments for both the Downfall and Child Timelines. The Adult Timeline is just impossible though, unless BotW is on an alternate Adult Timeline where Link stays after defeating Ganon and Hyrule isn't flooded.
T H I S. I S. A N O T H E R L E A F Y S I T U A T I O N
Alright, I NEED to know this, was I the only one who paused the video at 1:25 and looked up John Titor and wasted 20 minutes on Wikipedia?
Regardless of lighting or perspective it is a stripe while other games don't have any form of it, so yellow, green, or purple it's a stripe non the less
I dunno, that Twilight reference kinda sold it for me.
But you also miss the Leviathan Skeletons, which are of the Windfish, and the other leviathans from previous games. Then if you look at Calamity Ganon, he's sporting the headgear from twilight princess' Ganondorf. I think it more points to a timeline convergence than it does a single timeline, as there are hints to every single timeline and game.
i bught it for the Wii u matt what asshat buys a switch
0:00 what
Oh dont forget about the strings on the top of the tunic that twilight, majora, etc didnt have
But what about the arbiters grounds in the middle of the desert?
13:24 that aint yellow, tho it does share the brown arm thignys
