So today, I will talk about tomato. Did you know that tomato is tremendously great for sun protection and weight control? It’s the best if you eat it at night, not in the morning or day time.
So why should you eat it at night?
Lycopene in tomato is like your natural sun screen power from inside out. In general, it takes 6 to 8 hours for Lycopene to be absorbed into small intestine, travel around the internal organs and reach to your skin cells. So if you eat it before sleep, when you wake up, the lycopene is sitting in your skin and ready to fight sun damage. How cool is that?
You still need sun screen and/or sun protection items like sun glasses when you go out, but it’s great if your skin already has natural sun screen power in the morning. Lycopene is absorbed better when it’s heated with oils, so tomato spaghetti, tomato soup, or whatever cooked would be even better!
In addition, tomato is full of good vitamins and minerals. Those nutrients help increase your growth hormone, aka, weight loss hormone. Growth hormone is usually produced while sleeping, so if you eat tomato before going to bed, the fresh nutrients work hard to increase your growth hormone.
Lycopene is known to detox your body, so perfect for preventing constipation too.
The greatest things about tomato is that it’s cheap, and there are many ways to cook, so you won’t get tired of it. Tomato ketchup works too. If you are lazy like me, you can just eat raw tomato.
